2006 FA Centers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I appreciate the love for Big Z. However I think you have confused LeBron with Z in that last post. As LeBron goes, so go the Cavs, he is the heart and soul of the franchise. The Cavs can win without Z, they are toast without LeBron. Z is a big part of the team, and without Z we are hurtin, but we can manage. There is no replacement for The King. LeBrons play effects everyone on the team because he is so unselfish, great passer and playmaker. Z has that effect too with his post threat and shooting touch, but not to the magnitude of The Chosen One.

We need to keep Z fresh to be effective, with too many minutes he struggles like he did late last year and then the risk of injury rises. He should play about 30-35 minutes and if hes off bench him. LeBron can go 40+ every game, but in blowout games like against the Bucks, he can get some rest.

Yeah losing Tractor hurts a little, he played with passion and was a great spark off the bench. I complained a little about not picking up his option, but if we had we would not have had the space to sign DJones. Since the physical red flags have popped up (wassup with NJ doctors?) we may be able to get him for the vet min, hopefully hes not bitter about letting him go.

Wow... I thought the only human being in Milwaukee who was a fan of The Tractor was his neighborhood butcher... remember when the Bucks traded Dirk Nowitski and a pick for Tractor's draft rights? Good times, TJ. I think Tractor certainly looked like he was hustling on defense, and he moved well for his size; however, I hated when opposing centers simply shot over him. Its also important to note that Traylor will be out quite some time after his heart issues are treated with surgery. I know White has better hops, which should make him a better defensive presence when motivated.

Anyway, when I started responding to TJ's posts which pit the Cavs against the Bucks, I didn't see that there was already a thread devoted to the topic of the divisional race. Perhaps staying focused on the debate in teh correct thread would prevent other good threads from being led astray.

Getting back on topic, Nene will be a restricted free agent in 2006, and I've always dreamed of a Varejao/Nene combo in the frontcourt next to Z. I wonder if some fancy sign-and-trades could make that happen?

Next season, Denver will still be looking for outside shooting. If at that time we are still desperate for decent size, then we could consider trading Luke/Sasha depending on how they perform this season.

Sometimes a thread takes on a mind of its own. Started talkin about Z and Bogut, both centers and we go from there. I dont think we should be too picky if a thread takes a loop to their topics. Dont wanna lose the point of the thread either I understand. The Jackie Chan thread ended up talkin about Bruce Lee, and later how tough RLaw is (if thats not off topic i dont know what is. Just Kidding Rlaw) Sometimes just sticking to the thread topic is boring esp in the offseason. A thread about simply 2006 FA Centers is boring. Thats after the great season to come!!!

And to go off topic again I got first in a Texas Hold Em tournament tonite. 7 players, after the nite ahead 30 bucks! Bought in a lot the first game.
