Gibson is actually doing alright out there at point - he is making some decent passes and pushing the ball. His defense has been better than last year also.

Not a pure PG by any means but he is showing some signs he can be a capable backup...

I'm absolutely watching the game.

I saw Gibson make half a dozen entry passes before the front came, setting up our offense.

I watched Gibson pump-fake and find a wide open Jiggles for an easy two.

I watched Gibson run two successful fast breaks off of stealing the ball.

Gibson is doing exactly what we are asking of him. We're not expecting him to be an assist machine who knocks down every 3pter that he shoots. He just needs to hold down the PG position while mo and D-west are resting, and shoot a good% on his threes. According to his gameplay this pre season, he will be able to do that. Anything else we get from him, as far as i see it is bonus.
