2009 NBA Draft Preview

John Bryant is a late bloomer. Check out his production in the past three months. I can't stick my neck out too far until he plays other 7 footers on a regular basis (Portsmouth Invitational) but we should be scouting him for the second round.

Ive seen him. He looks slower than Aaron Gray.

What about Jodie Meeks?

Right now he is projected as a 2nd round pick if he comes out.


A note about Terrence Williams. Youd have to have a scoring/shooting PF to make him work. You tell me the Cavaliers will add a Stoudemire or Bosh at PF then you could take Williams.

I see a lot of 2006 Marc Gasol or college-era Joel Pryzbilla in Bryant... he battled issues with weight and coordination for a few years, but he seems to be getting a handle on it. Bryant is on the upswing. Again, I'm just bringing up a name who will be available and I've watched for the past few years. My track record is pretty good with scouting late bloomers... see (off the top of my head) Eddy House, Marc Gasol, and Leon Powe.

I said Shannon Brown would be a bust. Draft night, I cussed up a storm with the drafting of Shannon, but was cheering like a madman for the Boobie pick. To this day, my friends still hate me for that night. Keys, me and you need to head up the scouting department for some team in the NBA. I don't want to put anyone out of a job in the Cavs organization, so I suggest let's jump onto a bad team with high draft picks. Sacramento okay to you?
