I agree we need to add some secondary help in the summer, but I am not giving up on Peppers.

He's got talent. I believe he can be useful playing in this league, but I am dumbfounded by how Gregg Williams uses him every single week. He's never playing up front as a linebacker on any play whatsoever, I get he's our saftey.. But have the dude play up front a few times a game to make a play or two. He's always lined up 30 damn yards down the field. I'm not sure if that is the design by Williams so nothing is over the head while we rush whoever, but it gives up the middle of the field so easily.

I sat and watched this team get beat by a average quarterback at best in Mitch today, and there was about 3 times they ran a screen play that made this defense look so silly. It was embarrassing.

I wouldn't dare to watch Tom Brady play this defense. If he wanted to, he could throw for 400 yards in 3 quarters honestly. That's how bad our secondary is, and that's what they must address in free agency and the draft.

I know we have pieces here we can use going forward. This draft and free agency has to be that one to boost them to some wins next season. Not one or two either. If Hue stays on as coach.. This dude has to get the ship right and get the Browns 6-7 wins next year.

That, or there is no excuse and he needs to be replaced.

Peppers has the athleticism to make it.

just needs coaching, and to be put in a position to make plays.

I still think he needs to be put in on offense a bit. Treat him more like a Josh Cribbs type perhaps?
 
I don't put much blame on Higgins for that fumble. He was giving max effort to score a TD and got blown up by a defensive lineman. It just happens sometimes.

Yeah, people really kill guys for fumbles here. I remember Duke fumbled a few weeks ago and everyone was in here bitching about how his great season was basically negated because of it. It was ridiculous. Guys fumble sometimes. It happens to everyone.

When the Browns lose this, it’s setting up to be the most epicly disappointing finale to cap off the most disappointing season in team history.
