What about Greg Williams being a head coach or should he stay as the DC?

Gregg would be the interim coach if Hue quits or gets fired before the end of the season, but he isn't here next year unless Hue is.

That would be a mistake not to keep Williams as the DC, we got players for him this offseason and now changing again will put us right back into the same issue we had in the past of changing coaches so much. By default we may be stuck with Hue one more season on the condition of an OC.

You don't keep a head coach that's 1-21 and staring at 2-30 just because you like the DC.

If Hue gets fired, whoever they hire to replace him MUST have autonomy to hire whoever they want to be their DC. If that happens to be Gregg, then so be it. But you never ever force a coordinator on a coach like that.

I understand that completely do not get me wrong, but if we keep doing that are we ever going to get good since we are constantly changing coaches and schemes?

Mike Vrabel, and Josh McDaniels have some really good connections to here locally so I imagine you could probably sell them on this job.

The issue is this whole Belichick coaching tree thing.

I think Michigan is Harbaugh's dream job so that's going to be near impossible to pry him away.

Todd Haley? Meh. I guess. I like the idea of getting a Steeler though.

Cowher, Gruden, and Saban are god-tier "It's not going to happen" level gets. Of course I'd love the idea of any of those coming here, but it's doubtful.

Any Bill Cowher sightings?

Continuity for the sake of continuity isn't worth doing either.

It has to be working, otherwise what's the point?

This is the absolute worst possible scenario....

Having a head coach who is so clearly inept and over his head but can't be fired because of past impulsive decisions.
