Of course they do. The later the game, the better the atmosphere...the more of an advantage for the home team.Does the team prefer night games? Does the AD/admins?
I'd guess the team prefers night games. I have no clue what the department wants.
I know the team (coaches and players) want night games. But I wonder if the AD wants afternoon games. Maybe it's harder to police night games when everyone gets all liquored up?Of course they do. The later the game, the better the atmosphere...the more of an advantage for the home team.
Guarantee Wisconsin is doing backflips right now.

OSU by 3 touchdownsThat's not what they do in Wisconsin....
They will come with axes sharpened and grim faces.. we need to show up ready for a fight...
I can't imagine the AD would want anything different, besides the weather conditions consideration.I know the team (coaches and players) want night games. But I wonder if the AD wants afternoon games. Maybe it's harder to police night games when everyone gets all liquored up?
I guess I am a little surprised that OSU has such little say in the matter. But I guess this is what they have to deal with for the big $$$$ that Fox is paying out to the conference.I can't imagine the AD would want anything different, besides the weather conditions consideration.
But in this case, what OSU wanted did not matter since the B1G/OSU was whore'd out to FOX.

It helps that the pre-game and studio crew for FOX is leaps and bounds better than the shit show that ESPN rolls out. Herbie and Pollock are tolerable, but Corso and Dez and Maria are garbage. It's like they had to dumb down everything they do in order for their dumbed-down SEC fan base to be able to follow along. Galloway and Jesse Palmer are a fucking joke with their "analysis" in the studio. It's almost as if TV execs know what they're doing...
It's pretty simple: Fox cornered the noon market by having OSU & Oklahoma under contract.
Meanwhile ESPN has competing games during primetime (LSU/UF definitely lost viewership thanks to PSU/Iowa).
Of course, none of that actually helps the Big Ten or Ohio State when it comes to national perception or making ESPN's playoff. But then, neither does having a 9th conference game, or laughably unequal divisions, or adding Rutgers/Maryland simply for their market, or creating a standalone network (BTN).
Meanwhile the SEC & ACC are laughing their way to (at least) 2 free guaranteed spots in the playoff every year.
Yep. Look at Ohio State's conference losses the last two years. Both were cross-division games, on the road, in primetime.I agree look at this game. You could argue that Wisconsin is our 9th conference game. The big ten would be better for them not to play until the big ten championship and hope you have 2 undefeated teams at that point.
