2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Freddie's been awful, but getting rid of him isn't going to fix this bunch that can't block, tackle, or take care of the ball.

I think Freddie has gotten the offense better since the start of the season. The four interceptions off receivers hands is just bad luck more than anything.

On the defensive side of the ball, I think the front 7 talent is being suppressed by Wilks scheme. Also Wilks scheme is going to cause a rollercoaster depending on how opposing offenses are built. His scheme is so slanted to stop passing that good running teams will feast on us.

Dorsey has not been here all that long and there were a lot of holes that needed to be filled. Given the market, the most efficient way to fill these holes were drafting a QB and then building outside-in.

The cost to this is that the offensive line, defensive line, and linebackers leave a lot to be desired. Dorsey tried to fix the last two this summer (Sheldon Richardson, Vernon, Wilson, and Takitaki), but it still takes time.

If the Browns only drafted offensive linemen, defensive linemen, and linebackers this year, everyone on this board would be happy. My guess is that is the plan.

So I am not ready to crucify Dorsey... hell, I do not even think he is that wrong about Freddie. The play-calling has really improved the past few weeks. The team just has to continue to improve and Baker needs to find his play from last year.

People forget we started 2-6-1 last year. Coming off the bye, playing NE and then Buffalo, I can see us being 3-5 and then going 6-2 the rest of the way. 9-7 would be a really, really nice progression for this team. Anyone honestly expecting us to win the North and going 11-5 12-4 was foolish. I think were gonna be fine.

Well . . . either way, guy looks like a douche . . .
You sound like a guy with the kind of anger issues that would make you randomly punch a stranger in the face for no reason.

...so exactly where were you yesterday at 3:55pm? :detective:

Browns DL is going to fuck up Joe Flacco in a few weeks.

I hope so.

They were supposed to be the great terror of this defense, and while Garrett is playing well, everyone else has been merely ok.

I think they are too heavily reliant on the front four to create pressure. They basically just send those 4 guys all the time with an occasional safety blitz. It's the same personal all the time too, they use the starters heavy snaps and the rotation doesn't have a variety of skill sets to it. Other defensive coordinators will vary sending 3 to 5 guys to create confusion. Lack of a 3rd linebacker also makes it easier to know that one of linebackers isn't coming on a blitz.
