2019 Cleveland Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
“Too many issues.” is what a Browns source told Josina Anderson as the reason that Callaway was cut.

Yeah I'm not jumping on a Dorsey sucks train.

Just saying that in the preseason, the 2018 draft class looked like one of the best ever for the Browns with high hopes it would even get better.

Callaway was thought to be a major major weapon this year and there was all kinds of positive spin on him in camp.

Corbett was thought to be able to start comfortably at RG.

Avery was minimally going to be a situational pass rush guy after his great rookie year.

All 3 of them are gone.

Not to mention Chad Thomas not being great and Baker having a down year.

So yeah, can't really judge a class for 3 years but this has been a rough year for the 2018 group.

The only positions on offense I feel good about are interior OL and RB, aka the least important ones. Everything else is a mess right now.

Disappointing when professional athletes can't get their act together.

I think people forget that Callaway was a pretty productive player last year. 5th among rookie wideouts in rec yards and T3rd in rec TDs.

What did he do that made them cut him on gameday?

Good riddance. Glad they didn’t drag things out with Josh Gordon Jr.

Put me in the camp that’s actually a bit disappointed that it took strike 4 (?) for the Browns to finally sack up here.

It would have been a hell of a statement to cut him for tardiness - and would have been justified on the heels of his 4 game suspension...

But cutting him now after another tardiness incident and an impending 10 game suspension? Boy, that takes some real gumption to pull the trigger...
