Kevin Porter Jr looks fucking amazing on tape. IDGAF.
Unfortunately, as we discussed ad nauseum, it was never the court that was the problem...well not the BASKETBALL court. But agreed, it’s so frustrating to see all the talent and skill that kid has, but watch him have absolutely no clue how to be decent human being.Kevin Porter Jr looks fucking amazing on tape. IDGAF.
I get that KPJ was bad for culture but i don't understand drawing the line on him when you let other bullshit go.
I get that KPJ was bad for culture but i don't understand drawing the line on him when you let other bullshit go. He's 20 and more talented than anyone else on the roster, If he matures a little he's your best player. No surprise the drama didn't stop after he left, there's no accountability for the veterans who act out but you basically give away your most talented player for nothing! This rebuild has really taken a step back since he's been traded and also the players have mostly played like shit since then. Maybe our other young players are now pissed about the situation. If Koby can't manage these egos than get rid of him. Damn, I'm so sour about the KPJ situation.
With all that talent, and so many other players get away with bullshit, makes you wonder the level of bullshit. I am guessing he is gang banging still and no team wants that shit around their players. I am sure the bullshit is quite more extensive than you realize.
This is fine, but we know the accountability thing was total BS as Drummond wasn't even showing up to practices. Credibility issues with the front office of their own making
How so? KPJ's problems started here before Drummond was late for his first practice, and KPJ wasn't even here to see that Drummond was late for that practice. Not to mention that "late to practice", standing alone, isn't a huge deal. And at the time KPJ did return to the team, Drummond was balling out, at least defensively.
This problem is of KPJ's making, and it is again worth noting that despite KPJ's trade value tanking about as far as possible, not a single player defended him. Nor did his agent utter a peep in his defense. Nor did KPJ. All these arguments about "the Cavs deserve blame as well because of "___________" have been created out of whole cloth by fans, with literally no evidence at all.
Reminds me of two other Cleveland Sports figures that couldn’t get their heads together long enough to stay on the field! The only logical explanation for why neither the Cavs nor any other team wanted him despite his clear talent is because they know that his level of bullshit was much worse than the usual "other bullshit" teams tolerate with other players.
All we heard about was accountability and this great culture. How is the culture now? That is what I am referring to. There is no accountability. Altman can't control several players on his club, including the guys with the 2 biggest contracts. So my confidence in his ability to navigate the KPJ situation is low.
I can't buy into the culture of accountability when we come to find out it never existed. That is all. We saw it on the court and heard about it in the locker room.

(Manziel and Gordon)! Sometimes you have to cut the cord and move on. I’m sure there were a lot of behind the scenes stuff we we’re privy to but I didn’t see/hear a lot of what the Cavs did to help salvage this kid’s career.
