2019 Draft, Pick #30 - Kevin Porter Jr., USC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We are tanking and Garland essentially missed a year of basketball development. If you want him to develop he needs the minutes even if he struggles. Reducing his minutes will only stunt his development.
He could still get significant mins off the bench. Sexton is far more effective than garland. And passing is coming around
Porter needs to start
High ceiling for porter. Will come down to injuries with him

His post literally said Garland needs his minutes reduced. That's what I was disagreeing with. I don't care who starts or not. Garlands skillset long term fits better as a starter then Sexton. Garland and Porter have great chemistry already. I would start them together. But I don't see KPJ getting thrown into the starting lineup this year even if its deserved.

In this unexpected hellscape, I am glad to see KPJ back playing after that scare.
He made the most of his time on the floor. He does so many good things.

KPJ has a very high ceiling and it's just surprising no other team took a chance on him. It seems every game he flashes something that shows he has top 5 pick talent. The kid is 19. I'm so excited about his future along with our other 2 young guards. I think our guards for the future are set and the awesome thing is they're young and still learning. Just need a couple bigs to grow with them.

No. Because that's not the narrative.

I thought that decision tree went like this:
IF PLAYER X BUSTS: It's all Koby's fault. He doesn't know shit about basketball.
IF PLAYER X EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS: Anybody could have seen that X was going to be a player; Koby doesn't get any credit for him.

"He was becoming a plus defender [before the knee injury] and he’s one guy that can just get us a bucket out of nowhere. That’s a need everywhere, for every basketball team." - Beilein on Kevin Porter Jr, 1/28/20

Porter forced a couple of turnovers against Jrue Holiday last night and he's turning into a Jordan Clarkson type who can get a bucket when the shot clock is under three seconds and we have nothing going on.

You're god damn right I'm a player. You're a fool if you didn't realize.

He's a walking, sometimes hobbling, bucket. I'm going to be upset if he's left off the Rising Stars Challenge. The way the draft was going (Clarke, Goga Okeke drafted) I wanted Koby to take a risk and take KPJr or Bol Bol and credit to him for having the cojones.

I dont want garlands minutes reduced, especially not for delly. But it is obvious need to split sexton and garland as much as possible

So typical you and skip the first sentence when you are a bust.

I didn't skip the first sentence, it just has no relevance to me. The only things involving bust with me are my HOF bust, and the nut I bust on my wife's ass.

Speaking of busting a nut on your wife's ass, tell her I said hi.
