Still have a lot of faith in this kid. He'll turn it around at some point this year.

I think having seen Sexton improve so much makes Cavs fans have more hope for Garland. Which is good. Without the Sexton experience, he'd be getting killed a lot more.

Garland said himself he needs to shoot when he is open. He knows he can make it - it is just the confidence and having opportunities and having a tremendous game will help him then back to back. The little hesitation is driving him back - got to be consistent with confidence. Step by step for him. Just give him time - he will deliver.

He and Porter both seem to shoot significantly better when. They just launch. Usually off a catch and shoot where they don't hesitate. They are aiming the ball

Agreed, noticed their shots have better percentages as well when they are launching them.

Hachi and Coby White have looked ok...

Hachi is overrated and wasn't even a legit target at 5. If it was the mid 00s I would love Hachimura but it isn't its 2019. It was Garland or Culver who is also sucking. White is shooting 35 percent. He scores more points then Garland because he takes more shots. White is a dumpster fire right now.

Maybe if Culver or White were actually playing well I would be more upset with Garland. But all theee are looking like Dumpster fires but I've seen Garland flash playmaking and the ability to get his shot it just isn't falling. White is a taller not as lengthy Sexton long term. Idk why Wolves even took Culver but he's on the Wolves and its not pretty so far.

Nunn is the guy everyone should be upset about or Herro I guess.

Nothing to be upset about when it comes to Nunn. He went undrafted a year ago, 29 other teams had all G-League season to sign him. I'm a bit surprised to see his averages in the G-League and realize he never got called up.

That's all I am saying, he was up for grabs for anyone. He did spend time with GS and he plays like that. Doesn't dribble unless he has it, and is always ready to shoot when open

If we are going to look back at this past draft right now, it's a little early. We all know that. However, one thing we can glean from the returns so far is that development happens at the pro level, not the college level.

Past drafts were supposed to be even weaker than this one at the top. The 2019 draft was supposed to have two sure things, then a tier of high ceiling players, followed by some role player potential players. Well one of the "sure things" is out of shape and a little overhyped, the other is putting up big numbers on a bad team, seemingly capped as high as his three point shot will take him. Some of the role player types are, indeed, finding their roles on well coached teams.
