2019 NFL Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I remember everyone ripping on the Raiders for trading Mack and Cooper. Fast forward two seasons later, they got a better record than the Bears.

I mean, I didn't think those trades were that bad. Mack is great, but wanted a ridiculous contract. Cooper was not performing that well with Oakland.

Too soon to say how their picks will turn out. But Jacobs looks good. Ferrell hasn't done that much yet. And Abraham has been injured.

Raises the question of whether we're going to see much of a "market correction" with non-QBs, and if so, how much, especially with a new CBA coming down the pike, and some talk of a softer cap to allow exceeding for payment of QBs.

We've recently seen a lot of pixels/ink spilled on this with RBs, i.e. especially with Todd Gurley, but now that we're seeing the struggle of the OBJ experiment, which I'm not even entirely surprised by given the Giants not taking a huge leap ahead right away with him, the discussion has to be considered with WRs, edge rushers, etc.

I thought there was going to be a "market correction" on WRs when Mike Wallace was getting smaller/shorter contracts, but it hadn't extended to many others.

Interesting to see that Houston's run this year has come with their beloved #99 using up $13MM while not playing. Sure, they will have to pay Watson huge soon, but as painful as it will be for everyone to move on from Watt, that will offset some of the cost.

Chiefs blew that game hard. Mahomes was incredible and even all the dropped contested throws were perfectly on the money.

But man, it was right in our hands. Up 5 with a chance at field goal to make it 8 with a minute and change left. Fumbled the snap, intentional grounding. Titans move easily and score plus extra two points. Mahomes gets it into field goal range. Chance to tie, we get the freaking FG blocked.

Tough loss. But it was a good game.

Goff just doesn't look the part at all. Mayfield has had his issues, but to his defense his head coach sucks. Goff has one of the best offensive minds in the game. Is in his 4th season. His numbers are down all across the board.

It's a little surprising, but not that much. He thrives off play action basically. Gurley is not playing well, so Goff's game has taken a nose dive.

He's just not that good.

Good god is that Austin Corbett playing for the Rams? No wonder Goff is getting killed...:D

Fuck the world if the Steelers find a way to win this game.

He isn't out of the NFL yet, with his toddler legs?

He would be the biggest drafting embarrassment for the Browns since Gilbert and Manziel if it weren't for the tragic downfall of Corey Coleman.

(Has there been a team that has utterly squandered Top-33 picks more often than the Browns since 1999?)

That Steelers D is no joke.

Anyone that thinks they will be a cakewalk is drinking from Freddie's 128 oz Big Gulp jug filled with gravy.

Baker will be running for his life.

Goff is getting outplayed by Rudolph. He's by far and away the biggest problem for the Rams. Thank God we dodged that bullet missing him.

Hoyer is....not good when teams know he's coming and have a week to prepare for him.

Convinced teams are purposely losing to the Steelers. What kind of jackass goes for a fake with the punter, throwing the football? Basically saying "give this to the Steelers".

They’ve run a fake punt pass with Hekker at least once a year for the last couple years. Rams must have seen something in the Steelers’ alignment they liked.
