2019 Series #34 | Indians @ Royals | July 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is a non-story. He was frustrated that he couldn't get the job done. He did something stupid, nobody was harmed, and he apologized.

All it did was give the Bauer haters a reason to come out of the woodworks for a brief moment. Nobody will care when he strikes out Trout 3x next Saturday.

EDIT: and when I say "non-story" I mean it will have zero impact on the club after today. I know the media will continue to talk about it until the next story presents itself.

He may get a suspension

FWIW: Watched the post game interview with Bauer. He honestly looked shocked/embarrassed at what he did. Like a "Holy shit, I did that?? Looked remorseful. This could be one of those "wake up" moments for TB. I hope so, he can be dominate when his head is on straight.

I’ll be over it by tomorrow as long as he doesn’t get suspended.

I was going to say...this is a "non-story" when it may have ruined our chance to trade him and/or he may get suspended? Really? I don't really care about the media, I care about what other teams might think, and if not now, then when we're looking to deal him after the season (which is what I would prefer).

I'd be shocked if he were suspended, and I don't believe for a second that this hurts his trade value.

We shall see. One thing's for certain, teams know exactly what they're getting with Bauer by this point.

A top of the rotation pitcher who gives a shit?
Yes, because most guys who earn over ten million dollars and want to keep earning that much don't give a shit.

This has already happened to some extent with the national baseball media. Focus has pretty much moved on to the Stroman trade at this point. Only talk tomorrow will be from morning zoo and afternoon drive sports talk knobs looking to get on their soapboxes.

Good.

He needs to learn to control that stuff. I've noticed he's getting flared up a lot easier this season than he did last year, and lo and behold, he's not pitching nearly as well.

When that dude has his head straight, he's easily a top-10 talent in baseball.
I think he's frustrated because he's not pitching well.

Saying he's not pitching well because he's easily frustrated seems backwards

Love how you’ve spun this into him just being a passionate guy with moxie who really cares

Guy can literally do no wrong

Also he’s taken a pretty big step back from last season’s Cy campaign. Well, unless you take out his several bad starts then he’s been great. Which for some reason is a popular argument
