2019 Series #39 | Indians vs. Red Sox | August 12th, 13th, and 14th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kill the win
Kill the bunt (mostly)

Yeah, I think the win stat is pretty much useless. It's a cool counting stat to look at and follow, especially when guys hit milestones like 200 and 300 wins, but it really tells you nothing about how great the pitcher is outside of longevity.

Problem is, most of the media idiots think it's the end-all, be-all of how good of a year. I remember when deGrom had his phenomenal year last season (1.70 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 269 K, 9.6 WAR, etc.) and stupid ass Michael Wilbon who makes $4+ million a year to talk sports said he didn't have deGrom in his top-5 because he only finished with 10 wins.

Same discussion came around with King Felix in 2010.

Hand is a JAG right now. Don't know if he needs shut down for a while or what, but he isn't fooling anybody since the ASG.

Against Texas on Wednesday, his stuff was ELECTRIC. I really think the problem here is overuse by God Emperor Terrance.

The issue is the Indians have been playing playoff baseball since May.

They couldn't afford to just not pitch Brad Hand. Every game has been important.

Look at his game log. Very few instances where it didn't make sense for Hand to pitch in that game.

Carlos Santana will always be a top 5 Indians for me post-dynasty. Maybe top 3.

So the obvious 2 in Kluber and Lindor, then we have a bunch like Jose, Miller, Cliff Lee, Hafner.

Yeah, I could see top 3, but not sure.

WTF happened to Sale? I was looking at tomorrow matchup and didnt realize how badly he fell off?

12 strikeout game incoming

Fastball velocity is down, HR rate is double what it was last year, but he's still missing bats at an elite rate without many walks, so his peripheral numbers say he's still really really good.

I really don’t have any issues with him as a person but I hope Chris Sale never wins a Cy Young. I just think it’s awesome that he’s falllen short time and time again.

He's been with Boston and the White Sox so I've hoped he always lost in the past by default, also his "throwback jersey incident" back with the White Sox made him seem like kinda a douche.

That was one hell of a bunt by Santana! He should bunt more often....

So, specifically for me;

1. Jose
2. Frankie
3-5 is Santana, Bauer, and Sizemore

Personally, the 3-5 is always the same, but the order rotates. Jose is drastically ahead of Frankie.
