2019 Series #45 | Indians vs. White Sox | September 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hand has been fucking garbage since mid June

6.5 ERA in last 22 games. So sick of him

And this isn’t even factoring tonight’s runs

We're fighting for our lives, thanks to him and the rest of this ass bullpen. Even if we get in the post-season, and somehow get by the wild card game.

We can't go anywhere with this bullpen.

What a mistake not tagging from third. If we walk this guy, it'd be a tie. I rather walk him than make a mistake though. Base hit ties the game basically.

Big dick Nick for closer until Hand stops pissing down his leg in any high leverage spot we put him in.

Hand looks like a lock to be moved this offseason

Gonna need a lot more whiskey at the spot if this is how we’re going the rest of the season. Got that W though

Hand has been terrible for months now and his ERA is still only 3.42. Shows you just how stark of a contrast the two halves of his season have been.

Top-3 closer in baseball for the first stretch. One of the worst closers in baseball on the other end. Crazy how quickly a reliever can go from great to bad or terrible to awesome. Major reason why I never advocate for paying relievers big money.

7.3 ERA in last 23 games for Hand now

Literally anyone in the pen could do better over such a long stretch

Besides maybe Cimber
Hand helped stabilize the bullpen. While the rest of the guys may not be great, the fact they could count on a guy to shut down the 9th with no problems solved a lot of problems.

The Hand with the 7.23 ERA in his last 23 games is taking those other problems and just adding gas to the flame. This team has no business being in the playoffs without someone that can anchor the bullpen.

Closers just come out of nowhere and perform, then fall off a cliff. See Hand. I hated Closers my whole baseball life.

Mercado may have saved the season with that catch for the ages, but we are in serious trouble if our bullpen continues to implode, specifically Hand and Goody.

I'd hold the praise for Wittgren. That was a bases clearing double if Mercado doesn't make a sensational grab.

Outside of Clippard, the whole pen looks like trash right now. Felt like it was a matter of time before the ceiling crashed down. The numbers just didn't match the talent. Unfortunately, water is finding its level at a bad time.
