2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Zach Harper doesnt have sources?
Not sure what you're asking me..I think this is the first I've read something that the Cavs want to move Nance. Cedi yes, as he has never displayed anything more than being a role player on a contender. So I have been wondering what direction Altman wants to go, and this is interesting.

Cedi had the best 3pt % on the team in 2019-2020, then it dropped 8 pts last year. He is really annoying me with his inconsistency. I can't remember another player that needed a change of scenery more.

If they want to move Nance plus (Sex)xxxx perhaps they want another lottery pick arround 10 or lesser. About Cedi, well.. Pfffff

Well I can think of a lot of players who needed and need a change. I was never enamoured with him as some have been. He just needs to go to a contender where he hardly ever starts.

I decided to listen to the Bill Simmons mock draft pod because I like the work done by some of the guys there (KOC, Tjarks) and I forgot how much the mainstream guys just do not give a shit about the Cavs. It is amazing to me that they see the pre-2021 Detroit roster and think "this is a good core group of players." Same for Houston, that roster is horrible outside of Wood and maybe Tate.

BS was actively rooting for the Cavs to trade 3 down for the OKC 6+sme other shitty asset so Presti could flip 3+future LAC pick for 1. Why the hell would we do that? I would be fine keeping any of the top 5 guys in this draft over trading down so someone else can get Mobley or Barnes or Green. I could see a trade down if Mobley/Cade are both gone but I would just take Green there and roll with it.

They (other than KOC) also spent a solid 4 minutes talking about how Sexton is glorified Jordan Clarkson. Like these guys are supposed to be hoop nerds and they only watch like 6 teams. It is incredibly disappointing that everyone acts like we have the worst core group in the NBA (before the 2021 draft). We are in a much better position than several teams, including Det, Chi, Sac, Indy, and Hou. I would argue SAS, ORL and a few others im probably forgetting

Probably not the best place for this but I got really frustrated after listening to that and figured people on here would get it.
Simmons is all time annoying and doesn’t seem to know much about basketball, but it’s hard to fault anyone for shitting on a franchise that has only won 20ish games a season in all non-Lebron seasons since he was drafted.

I has to re-read this article three times to make sure I wasn't going crazy. LNJ, on his current contract, is an asset, not a fucking liability.
Congrats, you're not as dumb as Ev... wait... did you say you took the bait and clicked the article?

:(

Wording is of course important here. It’s not that the Cavs wouldn’t trade Nance for the right return, it’s that their motivation will NOT be to get rid of his contract or save money.
if you are looking to get out of a bad cap position, Nance isn't who you are shopping. Very team friendly, de-escalating salary.
The only salary that is truly bad right now is Love's (which is a total and complete shocker to everyone. Literally nobody saw that coming back when they re-signed him.. just shocking how that worked out)
