2020 B1G Championship | #4 Ohio State vs. #14 Northwestern | December 19th, 2020 @ 12 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Trey Sermon holding the single game Ohio State rushing record is very on brand for 2020.

Good for Trey to show up in this game and take home a record. Was not the game I expected but I'm not gonna complain about a 4th straight conference title.

Hopefully the Playoff doesn't go too poorly, assuming the committee still likes us. :chuckle:

Most yards ever for a guy who didn’t even start the game?

If I was petty, I’d call out posters who said OSU could only stop NW without turnovers.

Sermon is the headline because of the record and how poorly Fields did, but our defense put together a great game after a terrible opening drive. If Fields can get his shit together and this defense can continue to up its play, who knows the ceiling.

Yeah shockingly it was the offense that just never came around... arguably playcalling was a huge part of it though Fields never got right.

You know everyone has ND making it in but no one ever factors in the chance of an absolute beat down. If they lose by 50? Probably not in.

That said, I think ND wins this game and knocks Clemson out.

Would love to see that as I'm tired of hearing about Clemson. That being said ND has to make them pay for turnovers because they can make the big play like they just did.

Fields sprained his thumb at some point during the game and so couldn't throw anymore.

Day downplayed it during the postgame, but I dunno. That may have been for the Committee.

I’ll never actively root against the Buckeyes, EVER. But... I won’t throw a fit if they leave us out lol

good job good effort

I won't try to guess what the committee is going to do, but there's no good argument to leave Ohio State out. Talking about games they might have lost if they played more vs. teams that actually have lost games is a waste of breath. A third of the games they played were wins against good teams.

Now if they get in, I don't have any idea how they're competitive, but I can say the same about every team behind them in the rankings. A&M already got blown out by Alabama. Cincinnati would be +30 against Clemson or Alabama and wouldn't cover. Ohio State should get the shot.
