We can play what ifs all we want. The facts are OSU beat IU AND has a better record. Arguing a team with a worse record and lost head to head getting is why people hated the BCS.

OSU is probably one of the top 4 teams and should be in the playoffs. That said, I felt they were a better team last year. Their running game was better and their defense was as well. I would have liked them to have a couple of more games to work out some of the kinks especially on the defensive end.

What's happening to Florida right now is the argument against putting OSU into the playoff with so few games played.

It's a good deal easier to win all of your games, even against a shit schedule, whe nyou only play 5 of them.

Does anyone actually think Maryland, Illinois, or this year’s Michigan team would beat Ohio State though?

If anything I think it’s an argument for them being in. There are 3 elite teams as far as talent, an undefeated Notre Dame, and everyone else this year. Only having played 5-6 games is not ideal but it’s obvious the Buckeyes are more talented than anyone outside of the top 3.

I think the B1G's insistence that no one could schedule OOC in the event of a cancelation was dumber than the 6 game rule. Ohio State could've met the threshold and quieted the whines from the other conferences for our short schedule. Instead, we were all at the mercy of our opponents staying healthy.

Any word on how we and Northwestern are doing COVID-wise ATM? Gonna need that fucking game to happen.

All indications are that OSU and Northwestern are fine. It would have to be something unforeseen and last minute for the game to be called at this point.
