2020 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rumors floating around of positive tests at OSU. Rick Neuhesiel saying it was a 'star receiver'

Which.....fuck

If that is the case, it seems like that would be one of the places that we can afford to lose a guy or 2 for a week. Definitely shows the volatility of it all.

Except a positive case probably keeps that player from the semifinal, assuming we make it.

Is that Big 10 rules or is the the rules that are setup by the playoff committee?

Big Ten rule. The CFP is taking a hands off approach and leaving the schools to follow their respective conferences’ protocols.

Two things need to happen...

1) This game CANNOT be canceled. Or else that's a wrap for us this season.
2) Big 10 needs to change that 21 day rule asap. They already got rid of one dumb rule, time to change another. Can't be going into the CFP without Olave/Wilson and whoever else tests positive.

Fuck this year. 48 hours away from kickoff after a nice, quiet week, and now more uncertainty and cause for concern. It's been every fucking week since after week 3 against Rutgers we've had to deal with worrying about this shit on some level whether it was OSU or the other team. It's exhausting. I'm so over it.

21 day rule or not, 2 weeks from testing positive to playing is a tall order.

I agree. Even if the rule is changed to 10 or 14 days, it would be tough to get them back out there in game condition by New Year’s Day.

I know it's NFL vs NCAA but Lamar Jackson looked to be in game condition in the 10-14 day time from his positive test to playing on Monday (unfortunately).

A lot of people speculating that Olave will miss the game, anyone hearing that?

I just hope it’s all bullshit.

Let’s just say I’d be very thankful if it were just Olave.

I was thinking the same thing. OSU is tight lipped about releasing specific information. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

No inside info, but I’d guess if OSu makes the cfp, the 21 day rule is lessened so that whoever tested positive this week can play
