2020 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Still enjoying the big win, but some preliminary concerns for the Alabama matchup:
-we beat them last time so much less of a revenge/emotional edge factor (probably not that important)
-our secondary against their WR corps (fuck)
-our season was kinda built around getting another shot at Clemson, so it’s possible that we just won’t be as prepared for this game as it wasn’t an obsession all year for the players and coaching staff

Bama’s defense is their weakness and we just proved we can play with the big boys, so more hopeful than I thought I’d be for this title card. But beating Clemson was so satisfying that a national title is practically gravy.

I was legit shocked Borland played as much as he did. But it worked out vs Clemson. Clemson couldn’t run the ball and Lawrence was only a little over 8 per attempt.
Maybe they try and take Harris away and bet that Sermon plus Fields can outscore Bamas passing game.

Titty Bar Tom out at Texas. They’re hiring Steve Sarkisian to be their new HC.

Think it’ll affect our recruitment in Texas? Not sure Sark is the name they needed to pull Ewers back in or lock down Texas.

Texas is USC level pressure. hope he can control his drinking problem and not interfere with the kids

Rumors that Sark actually turned Texas down, which would be absolutely hilarious.

Texas is unique level pressure because of the amount of pure bullshit you have to put up with from their administration & boosters. It's a serious negative to that job and definitely one of the main reasons Urban was never going there.

Probably too early think anything on that. As with any kid OSU gets from out of state, they’ll recruit with the voracity as if he was uncommitted. The relationship between Ewers and Day is very real and goes back all the way to 2017.

What I do know, per Andrew Ellis from 11W, is that JTT’s best relationship on the Alabama staff was with Sark. Definitely can’t hurt OSU’s chances there.

Would have had a huge effect if they hired someone who didn’t already set one major program on fire.

Ewers was adamant about Day’s ability to work with QBs, and while I’m sure Sark is going to go hard at the kid, it would be shocking to see that be effective given the caliber and status of the two programs at present.

Even with McCord, Stroud and Miller in the wings.

Very disappointed...very disappointed. Did you all see the best team in the Big Ten lost to 5-5 (was 4-5) Ole Miss today?

I know they played more games, but they still lost. Sad face.
Indiana, Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan....all with 2 losses.

Oh, wait. I misread that. Michigan with 2 WINS.

2 is good.

So, should we be concerned about Urban pouching our staff if he takes the Jacksonville job? Mick Marriotti, Brian Hartline, Corey Dennis to name a few.

Might want to edit to "poaching"... unless Urban was going to the Akron Zips, then it would make sense (kangaroo mascot)
