2020 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well I do think he will be good, depending on factors.

But I’m sure as shit not gonna peg him to be the next coming of greatness.

Also just fucking let me have this I’m in a really bad headspace thinking about a Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow full potential division to play against.

He’s the most polished NFL QB to come into the league since Andrew Luck.

One day I hope you’ll learn that prospect grade and not living up to potential are two different things.

Don’t be condescending.

Hmmmmm....
Just like it sucked so bad when we didn’t draft Josh Rosen.

Can the Bengals even protect this guy? Who’s to say Burrow is a sure fire stud at the next level.

I hope you’ll learn the difference before trying to argue something you argued like a week ago in the same thread.

Have a blessed evening.

I said I THINK he’ll be very very good previously.

I then followed up tonigby stating we don’t KNOW he is going to be a sure fire stud, and that’s not wrong. The Bengals dont have much in place to support a young rookie.

So say whatever you want but crowning a college senior before he ever plays a snap as a tough out 2x a year is whatever to me.

I don't think anyone except maybe Amherst is pegging Burrow as anything. It's just a fact that he's an incredibly polished prospect with a high likelihood of being a good QB at the next level.

There's a good chance the Bengals get significantly better from this draft. If they take Burrow, he's a fantastic QB prospect. If they don't take Burrow, they probably got an absolute haul in the trade and are going all in on their rebuild.

I don’t think the “if” is warranted.

Burrow is basically already wearing Bengal stripes. No realistic trade package in the world would even make them blink.

Yep, Mike Brown has a liking for Buckeyes. No way in hell he’ll pass over the consensus QB1 after that season and championship game. Wouldn’t even be surprised if they telegraph it well before the draft, even though the NFL frowns on that

Shame it’s going to be with the Bengals.

Barring another owner giving away their team in a trade, I can't imagine a single even remotely realistic scenario where the Bengals would trade the #1 pick.

A Heisman Trophy, National Championship QB that grew up two hours away? Impossible to pass up. The only thing that could've made this a better situation for the Bengals would be if this happened at OSU and not LSU. That's about it.

I think there's a case to be made for the Bengals taking the Browns approach and tanking for a little bit. In a hypothetical, if you could pick up multiple future first and second round picks in exchange for moving down from Burrow to Chase Young, it's something you at least have to consider.

I'd still probably take Burrow, but it's not unfathomable to rather have, say, Chase Young, Trevor Lawrence. plus more.

I get it to a degree, but in many ways this would be like the Cavs passing on LeBron in favor of trading back for Chris Bosh or Carmleo. Great players, but neither would've had the same overall impact.

The guys the Browns passed on weren't arguably the greatest QB in NCAA history and they weren't being called the best QB prospect in almost 10 years.

If you're going Lawrence or bust you might have to go 0-16. Barring an injury, he's going #1. Just seems like an incredible risk to take for no reason. The Browns passed up a number of QB's who turned out to be very good, but they all had their question marks. I really can't think of any question mark that comes up with Burrow. You never pass on that when you need a QB.

I think your comparison is hyperbole. There hasn't been another prospect like LeBron in any of the major sports in my lifetime.

Calling Burrow the greatest QB in NCAA history feels like a ton of recency bias talking--and I love him as a prospect.

I don't know about the greatest college QB ever based on stats accumulation but Burrow had the greatest single season ever. Burrow looks like he's mastered football and nothing phased him all year. It would be pretty cool if Joe Brady followed him to Cincinnati

Can anyone think of a successful parallel to Burrow......just from a prospect sense?

I'm really failing to think of a guy who basically was prepping to be an insurance agent 24 months ago, suddenly looking like a near perfect NFL prospect.

How is this even possible?

Anyone know when Tristan Wirfs is going to make this decision?
