2020 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thoughts on Vernon Carey Jr?

He's been impressive the few times I've watched Duke. His athletic profile is solid, not spectacular, and he looks like he has a good base skill set.

Given the young guys we are committed to (Garland and Porter Jr.), Carey seems like a good fit.

I'm kinda hoping he's bpa when we pick to replace Love whenever we trade him.

Just a little bit worried still about his lateral movement being abused on defense. But I love everything else about him.

Agree about his stiff hips..that's why I wished he blocked more shots
But to me he kinda look like rich mans john Collins.

What's up with Jaden Mcdaniels? I am not very confident in him watching him play. I see some mocks having us take him around the 5-7 spot. Anybody like him?

Maxey gives some strong Sexton vibes

More people are saying this. I can't help but think he fits with Garland either to shore up playmaking. You can't make that pick unless you give up on KPJ and trade Sexton.
Both Ball and Halliburton are draftable by us, they can easily play with Garland imo.

I don’t see the hype too.

Those would be my picks too. I think you can draft for fit in this draft. Hindsight will say something different in 3 years, but whoever hits is going to be lucky.

Well looking at our players going forward I see:
Garland Starting pg
Porter starting SG/SF (maybe going early but I have been impressed)
Cedi back up SF
potentially Windler back up SG/SF (need to see him before I can say for sure)

so that leaves
starting SG or SF
Starting PF
Starting C

So basically anyone that isn't purely a PG and can guard wings or bigs

What do people think of Josh Green? Seems like an obvious good fit at SG if we're sticking with Garland at PG, especially if his shooting numbers hold up.

I like him.. not sure he is number 1 quality, but could be too 10.. IMHO..

Cedi is not good enough to be a long term starter. He has regressed this year. I See Porter as a 2 guard. Remember we will also get young assets back for both TT and Klove, maybe Henson, so that landscape is likely to change..As you know there is support for a Miles Turner trade. So I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a C/PF if he is top 5 quality, but need is probably more in the SF department. Of course we may be thinking we sign that guy in free agency when the rest is ready for that step..

One of my favorites in the draft right now. He'd be a guy I'd love to see us get if we're picking in the 7-10 range.

Good rebounder, already has a nice post game, NBA ready body, improving jump shot.

Exactly the kind of dude I'd like to pair with Garland long term.

This is the draft to stack 1st round picks and get a top 3 and TRADE BACK.
We need a sale, soon.
I like a lot of guys that are not even in the top10.

Flat-out depressing watching the Arizona guys tonight. None of them are lottery picks unless they look completely different 3 months from now.
