2020 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm guessing 5, as I did last year. Wouldn't be terrible this year (not as bad as missing on 1 or 2 last year).

If they cannot get 1, I don't want any part of 2-5, to be honest.

I got 3rd on my first try. Wizards jumped to #1 & the Spurs with 2% chance of #1 jumped to 2nd.

After that, I got 5th, 6th, 6th, 5th, 6th, 5th, 6th, 5th, 5th, 3rd.

Yikes, dude. Although the Spurs MIGHT not go Wiseman, but I doubt they'd go Edwards either.

Honestly, the only way I'm feeling good at 3 is if Atlanta is 1 or 2.

Edwards is not what you want in a guard in todays game. Other than Mitchell, who's play is a fluke because of the bubble settings and weak denver D, you want a guard who is a facilitator and a floor general who has above average measurements. Optimally a big guard.

This is a wing's league, and while Edwards fits that criteria and that only, he does not fit the wing you want. And what about Wiseman? Any example of a player like him is currently excelling at the POs?

Knight's 40/20 per 100 may be more unusual than I thought. @I'mWithDan when's the last time a player did that?

My database only houses non drafted prospects from the last few years (in addition to drafted), as I really generally just care about the characteristics of players who end up succeeding in the NBA.......so it does lack a lot of the more fringe guys (like the Knights of the world), to make a good comparison.

With that said, 40/20......no one in the possession era has done that, that has been drafted. The closest player was Mike Muscala, who was 37.7/22.4. In this draft, two guys are in the ballpark.......Vernon Carey Jr. 39.2/19.3 and Luka Garza 42.3/17.4.

The hardest part is the scoring metric, as only 10 drafted players in the possession era have scored 40 or more points per 100 possessions.....and 7 of the 10 were guards or wings, so the rebounding isn't really realistic in that regard.

Muscala may be a decent comp actually. 4-year guy who dominated a minor conference but was mostly unproven against top-tier competition. Solid but not exceptional athletically for an NBA big. Developing outside shot. Ended up being a pretty good value for his draft slot at 44.

Jesus.... you're worse than I am at this! Tip to you- don't play the Mega Millions Powerball lottery thing!
