2020 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So Avdija or Okongwu I guess, doesnt clear anything up and now we have to wait ages for the draft. Fuck off

Karma for when we jumped up the lottery to get Kylie. With #5, I can see the Cavs going for Obi from Dayton.

This is pretty much how you end up starting over 3 years from now. You have to be insanely lucky to have no free agency path and then building through picks 8/5/5. You are more likely to end up with a team that is decent but never good or great.

There are a few scenerios for Cleveland here. The best case scenerio is that Wiseman falls. If we're enamoured by Wiseman, we could trade up to get him, depending on the price. Another thing would be to trade the pick for better players, such as the Brooklyn trade proposal I posted yesterday.

I'm not fond of trading down, I think it's too risky, but doing so is an option as well. I really like Achiuwa for this team. He's slated to go 12th in some mocks, while others have him even lower.

Stop tanking Cavs

Gilbert was used to sucking then selling us on a high pick

Not anymore and I’m glad it’s like this. This bum ass team has ruined every pick but Kyrie and LeBron.

Stop tanking Cavs

I love all of the anti-tanking sentiments. Some teams are just bad, the Cavs happen to be one of them. This is the downside of the flattened lottery. It's just really hard to envision how legitimately bad teams (especially non-FA destinations) improve significantly without a shit ton of luck.

I have defended every Cavs move that supports some sense of remaining fairly competitive since the commissioner announced the change, even if they were as minor as signing Alphonzo McKinnie or David Nwaba as UFAs. Often they were met with aggressive opposition on RCF in fear they might have less pong pong balls.

So yes, some people who have waited two years for everyone else to see the shift don't mind pointing it out again. Be mad at a rules change, fine, but I can't stand it when people don't change their approach with a change to reality.
