2020 NFL Draft - Pick #160 - Nick Harris, C, Washington

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It’s worth noting that while they may still really like what he brings to the table, Andrew Berry and his front office were not responsible for JC Tretter’s new contract extension.

If I had to guess, I’d say Harris works a primary backup at C and G in 2020. If that all goes well, then the Browns could move on from Tretter before 2021 with Harris sliding into his spot as the starting C.

The Greedy draft was only good because of Greedy, 2018 was solid, and 2008-2017 were all bad. I don’t think people always thinking the Browns won the draft is actually true...

We are always excited about the offseason and draft and treat it like our super bowl, but maybe half the time are we happy about it. This draft was just insane considering what we had to work with. The Harris pick was a pure magic trick and produced out of thin air for example as we got Delpit and the pick and picked up someone that has starting potential in the 5th.

Eh, this place is always positive after the draft. It’s the nature of the event. It’s all about hope. Everyone talks themselves into all the picks except for maybe a few extreme cases like Billy Manziel.

While true, this is probably the first time in a long time you will see universal praise for the Browns draft. Even pundits like Kiper, Jeremiah and others will likely value our draft exceptionally well. It helps that they got a guy who was praised by nearly everyone to be the top tackle, debatable that they got the best safety, tight end and center. Elliott was an ascending player and production darling, while Phillips and DPJ were over and under drafts, respectively.

The best thing I can say about the Browns draft is that it was relatively safe. Wills is basically a lock to be a good to great OLman for the next 10 to 15 years, Delpit's skills and production put him in all-pro type outcomes while Nick Harris and Jordan Elliot are likely starters.

ETA: If you want a reason to be down on the draft, the Ravens and Bengals likely had the best draft in the entire league. The Ravens, in particular, had a heater going. Their mix of BPA while also addressing needs and upcoming needs was disgusting. Even a questionable pick like Dobbins likely becomes a great pick next year when Ingram is gone and Dobbins is ready for a year's worth of full reps.

The Bengals, meanwhile, have build themselves a great defense with totally revamping their LB core and also added a QBotF. Not really that high on Higgins to the Bengals, but it gives them 3 legitimate weapons for Burrow.
