I've been as critical as anyone about the austerity/inactivity from the team this offseason, but if they can stay relatively healthy, with leaps from Daniel Johnson, Clase, and Karinchak, they have the potential to be pretty damn good.
Really hoping they put Hernandez in the leadoff spot to take advantage of his on base ability. That way Frankie moves down and can drive more runs in.

I like Domingo Santana. He's still young and has potential. Just 2 years ago he hit .278 with 30 dingers. Between him and Reyes they can play RF and DH.

I still have hope for Zimmer so i'll include him in my lineup.

Hernandez
Jose
Frankie
Carlos
Domingo
Franmil
Mercado
Perez
Zimmer

Luplow
Deshields
Arroyo
Leon

It seems like the biggest concern with Domingo is if his elbow has recovered from last season.

"Santana missed most of the last 2 months with an elbow injury. It was later revealed that Santana had hurt the elbow a few weeks prior to his IL stint and while we don’t know the exact date of the injury, it would seem to coincide with a massive slump that basically ended the year for him.

Entering July 16th, in his first 94 games with the Mariners, Santana was .280/.346/.489 with 19 home runs and 6 steals. From July 17th until the end of the season, Santana hit just .127/.250/.215 in 27 games, including just 11 PAs in the month of September."

What’s the expectation of Mercado’s overall production this season offensively? I haven’t seen him discussed much for a while but at the same time I don’t want to be redundant in case I missed anything.

Do we know for sure that it is $1 mill for Santana

Yikes. I could see him taking a step back this year and giving someone else a chance. I honestly keep forgetting about him.

The projections are very down on Mercado. Personally I’d like to see him produce similarly to 2011-13 Brantley.

Those pre-breakout years. I don’t know why, but that’s the comp I keep going back to for him.

If we've truly acquired Domingo, I think this is a prime opportunity to give Reyes a long look in the OF whether it be LF or RF.

Santana isn't any good out there, so might as well give Reyes a crack since he's locked onto this squad for quite a few years.

Santana was decent in the field in 2018 and god-awful in 2019. Hopefully ae see more of 2018 Domingo when it comes to defense.

The guy from the Twins who had Tommy John last year showed poor medicals on his TJ elbo

also, they didn’t realize he was so fat.

Which is code for Red Sox got trashed by the media and fanbase so they needed an excuse to backout of the trade. Because of all of that was common knowledge.
