2020 Offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The one player I would like for the Cavs is Frank Kaminsky at a vet minimum deal or even a 3 year $15M deal with the team only guaranteeing a portion of year 2. ( I like having another player making 5M to facilitate trades.) He would be a good backup and very useful if we trade either Love, or Drummond at the trade deadline. In about 20 min/g he averages 10 pts., 4 rebounds and shoots 35% from 3.

Didn't the Cavs want RHJ in the 2015 draft? If memory serves me right we had a pick in the 20s and RHJ was picked right before ours and we ended up taking Tyus Jones and trading him away and I feel like there were rumors of our interest in him.

EIther way he feels the most "Cavs signing" of those names, but I think some other names have more upside on that list.

With around 42m of expirings and those draft picks and possibly more 1sts think the future lots pretty good. With a couple more picks the future may be so bright we will have to don shades.

We need either another first or second for next year. And also in 2023. I bet Koby fills those in at the Trade deadline.
The reason I wanted another 2022 11st was I think that is the year rumored to be the so called double draft where the 1 year of play after high school or 1 year wait is removed.

So training camp starts in a week or so. With the roster we have assembled I think I can make the following statements:

1. We have legit size at center. Drummond and McGee are big boys. We should have the size advantage in many games. Love and Nance could handle it in spots for a small lineup.
2. We seem WAY more athletic. Guys like Okoro and Dotson will fill needs. Being active and athletic should mean more consistent defense.
3. Major roster improvement will come from natural improvement of the existing pieces. Garland, Porter, Sexton, and Windler all have been working hard. People are raving about the improvement in Garland. Good, because he needed it. Windler remains a mystery, because he hasn't played any games.
4. The coaching staff seems to be stable. Everybody seems to have confidence in JB. He may be the right man at the right time.

So has there been any word from JaVale? Any interviews or tweets or relatives? Just wondering if he ever actually ends up being a Cav. Just wondering

^ I doubt we hear much from Javale until the start of training camp next week tbh.
Do y'all think the Cavs will bring in a 15th man (Skal might have some untapped potential or Henson could be a cheap backup option)? Maybe they are content just bringing back Bolden or leaving the last roster spot empty?
