2020 Offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't understand. If this guy, Chris Fedor, said on his podcast that the order of preference is Ball, Avdija then Okoro, then why is everyone assuming the pick will be Okoro? The other issue is the consensus mock drafts are starting to coalesce around Avdija.

Is Okoro just wishful thinking? If Ball is gone, doesn't it mean the Cavs next choice is Avdija? Am I missing something? Please explain.

Bulls want Avdija supposedly. They might lose Otto Porter after this year.

If that is true, Wiseman will be there at 5, and the Cavs were reported to like Wiseman a lot. I think Okoro is in their 2nd tier, but Avdija, Ball and Wiseman are in their first.

My worst nightmare is getting Edwards. Sure he has potential, but also has the highest bust potential IMO. His floor is Dion, not even Sexton.

Wiseman not getting pass MJ and Charlotte. They need a big.

Agreed. Here’s how I see the top 5 shaping up:

1) MIN- Ball
2) GS- Edwards
3) CHAR- Wiseman
4) CHI- Avdija
5) CLV- Okoro or Okongwu

The direction the Cavs go could be predicated on two players- Windler & Nance. If they think Windler can be the answer at SF and Nance can play the 3 & 4, they likely go Okongwu. If they have concerns about Windler and see Nance more as a 4 & 5, I can see them taking Okoro.

Fedor said on Monday that Nance will play the 3 here and there. I'm going to assume they view Nance as a 4 & 5. As,for Windler they have high expectations for him since he can shoot the three ball, rebound and has a very high IQ. Fedor said he'll play the 2 here and there. I doubt Bickerstaff will do that until later in the season. Bottom line, this team needs to draft a player that plays defense.

I'm tired of this team getting blown out in the third quarter while we're scratching our way out of it in the fourth quarter or we just get out right blown out in the second half. This been an issue after we won the title.

I will say this though,in the 11 games under Bickerstaff the team played light years better and I just want the team to build on it. In,those 11 games they were in the middle of the pack in defense, which is good but I want them to be that throughout the season. If,the team can be around 15 or 16 in defensive rating that's a win...imo

My preference is Okoro,Okongwu, Vassell and Deni in that order.

i agree. They need to get someone that can play some defense. I think they realize that and that was their intention last year too. However, the Hawks drafted De’Andre Hunter before the Cavs could, so we went BPA, which was Garland.

It sounds like Deni is likely headed for Chicago and Vassell feels like a bit of a reach at #5. Apparently KPJ has been pumping Okongwu up to the front office and Okoro is the best defender in the draft IMO. That’s why I went with those two.

Bulls with addition by subtraction on that one..

I don’t think the Bulls have any intention of re-signing Porter, who is massively overpaid. Chandler Hutchison hasn’t shown that he is the future at that position, so adding a wing, like Avdija, seems to make a lot of sense.

The Bulls apparently wanted Deni before they hired Billy Donovan? I don't buy that. Any team that coveted a player when they had a HC vacancy and they still want that same player after they hired a HC? Nah. I can't see a franchise saddling a coach with a draft pick that they'd have no interest in unless the coach just loves the player but Billy Donovan just finished coaching up a playoff team and I highly doubt that he's come to any conclusion on any top draft picks in 3 weeks time.

Okoro and Okongwu are my top two players from the draft..

God this draft sucks the more and more I look at it. Is there any all star quality players in the last year of their rookie deal we can make a move for with the pick?

Someone here proposed creative ways to draft FOUR guys in this draft!
Some others seem to have discovered Kawhi-2.0 in Okoro!

Look again. Take a few more days. I am sure you will find something.
