Did I say Hernandez hasn't been good in the lead off role? Lindor did even better in the lead off role last season. Whatever gets the train rolling, and I'm sure Hernandez would still be just fine in the 2 hole. JRam being our most potent bat could stand another guy or 2 on base in front of him. Might or might not work, but other than last night, this offense has been anemic if you haven't noticed.

Hernandez is really not suited for the 2 hole...if he is not leading off, he should be 6 or lower. He is really not the model 2 hole hitter...have ro hope Lindor comes out of it, because either he or JRam should bat second.

I always thought that the 2 hole was suited for a guy that sees a lot of pitches, gets on base at a 350+ clip, can put the bat on the ball, but doesn't have much in the way of power. He would be excellent advancing a runner in front of him. Regardless, it's more about getting Lindor better pitches to hit and allowing his power to jump start this poor offense. I concede that it may not work, but the current situation really isn't either.

Civale is throwing another damn good game. This pitching staff is phenomenal!
