Nothing wrong with that placement. They’re extremely young and dealing with injuries.
This is also why I don’t want Koby going crazy this year with moving assets. They still don’t know what the team’s ceiling is yet. The next big move is for championships. We should be confident that Koby will do that.

I dont mind trading Rubio and some picks for the right player.

Love has more value to us than any other team. Sexton would be selling low right now before re-signing or sign and trade in the offseason.

Markkaden and Okoro I am of the mindset only in a homerun type deal.

Do not need ANYTHING, except time and good health.
I don't think Mobley is going to add the necessary muscle mass between now and April. That's more of an off season thing. Also, while I'm high on Okoro developing an actual offensive game, that's a multi season projection. The problem with the Cavs trading assets for anything short of a true upgrade is that what they really need is Okoro and Mobley to be a couple years older.

I see comments by different posters wanting to see us beat or play top teams with there best lineup in ( no COVID or injuries lineups) I really don’t care , I remember the Lebrons teams would always get beat by the Hawks and Raptors and Sometimes the Celtics and many lessers teams during the regular season , but sweep those same teams during the playoffs, especially the Raptors and Hawks.

Those teams would come into those playoffs games full of confidence because of what happens during the Regular season, Not only would we sweep them but we would beat the snot out of those same teams-in the playoffs, I think people forget it’s a whole different game come playoffs time, teams are going to go to a 8 to 8 1/2 playoffs man rotation, star players are playing closer to 40 minutes a game depending on how the game going , I remember LeBron wouldn’t even come out during the second halve of some of those games…..

I don’t need a measurement stick for this team right now, we’re not even close to what this team can become in the near future,..my goal this year is to avoid the play in games, and make the first series a competitive series hopefully still a couple games……

To be honest, I think she's better at the actual job than both Angel and Allie Clifton were when they started. Both were painfully awkward until they settled into the job.

I think Allie and Angel both had very little experience before coming to the Cavs. I think Allie was straight out of college. Serena Winters worked with the Sixers and Lakers before coming here.

It might be kind of telling how they feel the trajectory of the Cavs is by how they reassigned someone from another market here than getting someone inexperienced again. Both Allie and Angel came in right after LeBron left each time.

Not sure what to make of her- she’s monotone and her excitement seems forced. She is pretty hot though…
To me she seems like she's way too smart for this job. I find it hard to believe she even likes basketball.

They’re just generic pretty faces. Nothing special about any of them. It’s like they come out of a factory.

I get the desire part, I just think some fans are kidding themselves about *selling high* on Love.
Right. The situation with Love is the best I think it's going to get for any team, and I'm glad it's the Cavs where it happened. Now the next couple of seasons hopefully won't be wrought with angst like this one looked to be before early. Best to have a veteran player on a heavy contract contributing numerous ways than otherwise

(looks at the 76ers)

Barnes and Hield would be so nices for this team……

I would love to get sabonis from the pacers. I heard a report that they will be sellers come trade deadline. Probably don’t have anything to make that happen though.

Just my opinion, to become a really solid team, the Cavs need a wing player who can shoot and handle the ball. In the 2022 draft, the Cavs have a first round pick and two second round picks which could be quite high, to find that player. The player would be cheap and under contract for years. No need to do anything?

I'm gonna take a moment to (*change topic and*) give my feelings on the team I'm looking at right now.

I like this team. And I'm having fun watching them. First time in a while. Since 2009. And since 1998 (sans LeBron). I can barely get time to watch 'em live. So the fact that I diligently re-watch every game 2 hours after it ends means more than it did before (while I desperately avoid spoilers in the process).

But we're not very lucky. You need that in the NBA to win it all (just ask the Bucks and Suns, who ran through those injury-depleted teams last year). It's a shame with Rubio and Sexton. And all the tick-tack injuries, and covid restrictions. But everybody has stuff go on. And being able to still flourish, like we did on the 5-1 West Coast trip, says something about us (not sure what yet).

Can you feel the magic with this team? I only go back as 1998 in actual team investment, but I've had very brief moments of bliss watching them play. 1998, with 4 rookies + Kemp. 2006-2008, with post-season promise. 2009, with regular season dominance. And 2016, an incredible championship run. But these guys have defied my expectations, thus far.

Do they seem more like a team I hadn't seen, like the 1989 team? Evan Mobley has a rookie season in the vein of Brad Daugherty, but with more Hod Rod versatility and Nance-like defense? Is Darius Garland potentially better than Mark Price? And does Jarrett Allen give us a look that the 1976 team had with Jim Chones? And even with the same weaknesses (like the lack of SF talent and core depth), they could still use assets and upgrade.

Like I said, I really like this team. What will they show us for the rest of this season? And will it be brief (like last year's Hawks), or is there another gear yet to be seen (like the pre-2014 Warriors)?
