I don't agree with that at all. His offensive production was fine, but I've never seen him described as an advanced hitter.
From MLB:
Rocchio has earned the nickname "The Professor" because of his outstanding baseball IQ. It's apparent at the plate, where he's a switch-hitter with precocious bat-to-ball skills and pitch recognition. He may never walk much because he makes contact so easily, but his hitting ability and quick, strong hands should yield double-digit home run totals once he adds some needed strength.
Covering the corner:
After crushing the Dominican Summer League and earning a promotion to the States, Rocchio’s slash improved to .343/.389/.448, finishing third in the league in batting average while flashing some impressive leather defensively in the middle infield, and he did this all while just 17 years old.
Nicknamed “The Professor” due to his high baseball IQ and game awareness, Rocchio already shows the signs of a disciplined hitter, improving his walk rate to 6.3% and dropping his strikeout rate to 10.8% after getting promoted to the AZL. He was rated by Baseball America as the top prospect coming out of the 2018 Arizona Rookie League.
IBI/247 Sports:
Offense: Rocchio is regarded highly for his ability to put the bat on the ball and his advanced eye at the plate. The number of walks he takes is limited by his ability to put the bat on the ball. The young shortstop is a switch hitter with quick hands and wiry strength, he should develop average (50) power or about 15 home runs once he fills out his frame.
