2021 Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lakers were better off keeping this pick and drafting a defender, IMHO.

Rubio is the replacement for Delly as a mentor for Cavs young backcourt.

I actually see Rubio as the guy to help Mobley and Okoro develop while Garland and Sexton can do their thing. Have Rubio run plays for both Mobley and Okoro if they execute right they get rewarded with the ball. You don't have to worry about Garland and Sexton not feeding them the ball if either Mobley or Okoro go cold or hit a poor stretch.

After trading prince we literally don't have a sf?!? Issac is a guard!

We're clearly not done building the 2021 roster and they likely will go after a wing before the season starts, but we don't want to get too caught up in antiquated positional stuff. With the frontcourt clear 3 or 4 guys (Mobley, Nance, Allen, and we'll see if KLove comes back) plus a versatile defender in Okoro (positions are more about who you can defend rather than your offensive role, I'm certain they can cobble together five-man groups that can maintain a working level of basketball.

I would think they'll try all of Nance, Mobley and Okoro at SF depending on the situation. Right now, I think Mobley is actually closer to a 3 than he is a 5. He's only 205lbs and moves like a guard.

Rubio is another guy who can be versatile defensively too. Not at the 3 perhaps but it opens up other guys to take on that challenge. We have options.

But like I said, another move is almost certainly coming at some point.

We need 3pt shooting badly. We have Garland and Sexton as shooters. How much are we going to use Love or can he even contribute. We got to hope that Windler can stay healthy and develop. Cedi has to get back to how he was shooting in 2019-2020. Nance might have to shoot more and will his percentage hold up if he does.

Rubio, Okoro, Mobley, and Allen are alot of below average 3pt shooters or non shooters to have in a rotation while we also have alot of other questionable shooters.

If we want to develop Okoro and Mobley properly we will need more shooters so they aren't constricted by poor spacing.

I suspect more trades are coming. I just love having Mobley. Now it is time to construct a team around him.

Fwiw, I think Westbrook/LeBron is a mess.

Just looked at 2020 composite recruiting rankings: 1. Cade 2. Green 3. Mobley….this has been set in stone for a while.

Also saw Dajuan Wagner Jr is number one recruit in 2023, maybe we can get him and Bronny and get a redo. Does Darius Miles have a kid?

Can we buy a pick and take Greg Brown? He's most interesting SF prospect left in my opinion. Kind of a SF/PF tweener but I think he could fit at SF if his shot gets better.

I've said this before, Nance looked great as a small forward. He just had to slide over to PF often to cover for Love, and then ended up missing just about as many games as Kevin The Golden Calf.

I'm still hoping Windler can regain confidence in his shot. In college, he believed every jumper was going to go in. I haven't seen that since his injury.
