Our odds went from 80% for top 6, to 65% for a top 6.

That one stings a bit.....need some luck during the lottery.

I'm just going into the lottery believing we are picking 7th,,,that way when it comes up that way
I wont want to jump off the nearest bridge.

I think so too, but he's a less interesting defensive prospect than Okoro, IMO. Like, if Okoro looked small against NBA wings, Keon's gonna look even smaller. It's much easier to find rotation minutes for an energy guy wing/big than for an energy guy guard.

sure he is a project but somebody will still bite on that crazy russ level athlete

Cavs own fault. They won a game they should have just tanked. I honestly don't feel sorry for them.

We played Love, Sexton and Okoro 100+ combined minutes in a game that meant nothing. Against a team that needed the game.

Guess we'll see how it shakes out......maybe they'll get lucky and the 5th pick combinations come through.

Yeah, it is tough. The math just gets a lot harder the further you go down.

I actually think the Cavs have been pretty fortunate, relative to where they have drafted, to not have a complete dud.

But just another one of those guys isn't doing anything for us. We desperately need a star.

If he was a point guard then yeah, but right now he's a combo guard who can't pass *or* shoot very well. I can't think of many other lottery guards whose only NBA-level offensive skill was dunking. He needs some kind of offensive role if he's going to play extended minutes, and I don't know what that role is.

I don’t blame the Cavs at all. Did you expect them to go 0-72?

I think the odds of staying at 4 were never good anyway but this just means they must win a top 4 draw or they will easily be 7th probably 8th if these teams with the small % jump again like the the past two drafts is the norm again.

If thats all gm's sees him as then yep makes no sense at all, I assume he actually has a decent floor game and the key selling point is the scoring ability or there would be no lottery interest. My looks at his older info suggest he is better on paper than he showed at Tennessee so there is that.

Maybe? I don't really understand high school recruiting ranks at all, but I see he was the RSCI #23 recruit. Presumably he would've been up in the top-10 or top-5 if he had the skills to match his athleticism, but I'm not sure he does. Kinda reminds me of Scottie Lewis, who was the RSCI #9 recruit the year before.

I kinda like Sengun as a mid-lotto pick, but imagining him as the Cavs grand prize after this hellacious season is straight up depressing.
