Why would LeBron leave? It makes no sense for him to ever leave the Lakers unless it's for a game with his son, a 10 day to finish here or something like that.
Also, is Ariza still playable? He fell completely out of my radar so I don't even know his level right now.

Dennis decision to bet on himself will only be beaten by Noel's as the worst. I don't see teams with cap or willingness to give him anything even remotely close to what he refused.

They signed a lot of dudes after that post.

We will have to see. They did the right thing pursuing shooters.

The Cavs do feel a lot like the parents that leave their adult son's room intact forever just in case he ever wants to come back home.
The only time I have ever seen that where nothing was changed outside of the youngest kid off to college home on weekends etc was in the movies or was when a child died .

I’ve never really bought that the Cavs are leaving an opening for LeBron, but the evidence is certainly piling up :chuckle:

8 picks in the top 8 since the first time LeBron left (I don’t count the Wiggins pick) and we’ve drafted:
Players 6’5” and under - 4
Players between 6’5” and 6’8” - 0
Players 6’8” and up - 4

Okoro is 6'3 or under?

Simmons wants to go to the west coast and is against Blazers because he’s “a socialite”? What a bitch.

I wonder if Michael Porter Jr is obtainable. Definitely a risk, but he would fit like a glove. He wasn't given an extension this week (I think the deadline was the 3rd). While obviously a key cog for the Nuggets, they're at $108M with only 8 bodies on the roster. He alone will add $25M to their books.

I don't see how they trade him for anything less than a star

Wait are you saying the listed heights on the official NBA site are with shoes now? I thought they changed it where the teams have to report height with shoes OFF
Okoro is listed at 6'5 I assume that is barefoot.
I will be interested to see what Jalen Green and Cade Cunningham are listed at after their teams have to turn in cards on them that are not the pre draft one's. in the pics of them with the Commish who is apparently 6'3 in shoes Green actually looks shorter than him and Cade looks maybe an inch taller.
Mobley however is clearly a full head taller

Well we don't have any players between 6'3" and 6'8" except Okoro, Thomas, Stevens, Nance, Windler, and Dotson. We of course drafted another good wing that accused our GM of being a modern day slave owner and we had to dump him.

People want to play Okoro at the 2, but there really aren't a lot of minutes there. 10 or less. I imagine some combo of Cedi, Windler and Nance take the rest of the SF minutes. Cedi and Windler are basically fighting for their NBA lives this year, but if we want to play our best defender in Nance, he is going to need min at the 3.

I prefer the Cavs continue being opportunitistic instead of just signing whoever is left. There is enough depth on the team that Altman should see how lineups shake out and then he should attempt to consolidate some players and picks in a pre-deadline deal to address needs.

With the way last season went, all of our players' values are depressed. I think it is likely you can rebuild some of that value in the first quarter of the season and flip some depth and picks for quality. Rubio can moved at the deadline if he doesn't work out, but I think he will be productive.

Agreed, and agreed. lol

Okoro will continue to play and most likely start at SF, while i agree with allot that his best position is SG, we dont have the minutes there and Okoro's game offensively is more SF minus 2 inches. Hopefully Okoro takes a Garland and Sexton level leap in year 2 that our gym rate players seem to take and he fits much better.

Doesnt hurt we just added a 7'1 guy with rim protection at PF either.
