Yea the Mavs fucked up.

They lost a series last year to THE title favorites without Porzingis in Lukas first year in the playoffs.

I know they thought they were making a minor adjustment but trading Curry for Richardson has been such a disaster. You can't even put Richardson in the game.

Why is the corner 3 so high-percentage? Just because it is shorter?

I think big men are asked to take corner 3s for spacing so they work on it more. It's easier to sneak out of the paint and spot up for a corner 3. Conversely it's easier to come in from the corner to rebound or cut and sneak back into the paint. It's harder for a defender to cheat from the corner and provide help.

Ty Lue’s approach to solve most problems is to go with maximum spacing and offense. And in this series he stopped playing the Clippers centers. He didn’t hesitate to bench Beverly as well. The Mavs have had no answer to the Clippers’ small ball lineups with five shooters on the floor. Carlisle tried to go with size but Boban is so slow that he’s killing the Mavs on defense. Playing Boban usually means that the Mavs’ have to play a 2-3 zone to cover for him, which is death against a team with as much shooting as the Clippers. We’ve seen over the past ten years that big lineups rarely beat smaller lineups that have speed and shooting. I’ve been disappointed in Carlisle’s hesitancy to play Porzingis at the five.

I expect a much better performance from them. Their shooters bricked a ton of wide open shots in game one.

Good start to the second half for the Mavs and probably good for all three baskets to be scored by someone other than Luka. Hardaway and Finney-Smith both in the game so their injuries weren't too serious. Gonna be a great second half.

The Mavs need to get out of this damn zone. Offense is just too easy for the Clippers. They just have to overload one side of the zone and then pass around until someone gets a wide open three.
