It's funny because I find Durant's total inability to tune out talking heads to be a great weakness of his.

I love seeing teams be rewarded for investing in young players.

LOTTA people thought that Tobias Harris contract wasn't gonna pan out for Philly and he's just been getting better and better as this season has gone on.

Now he looks like he's going from fringe all-star guy to a legit, bonafide #2 who should make the all-star team most years.

Situations like this are where having someone like Embiid can be so hard to go against.

Once you're down big to them, they can just feed him and he's gonna get your team in foul trouble and eat clock.

Ty Lue is a lot of things, but he was willing to excise Frye from the lineup and limit Love in favor of Jamison to get it done.

Bud has no ability to recognize mimatches. He just says, "we can punish them for going small". When in reality, Brown and Harris are going to torch you for leaving Brook in the paint. They may cool off from 3, but I have seen Bud team get torched from 3 in how many series?

ty lue has a great feel for the game and a nose for matchups. I still remember his pulling Dahntay Jones (!?) off the bench at a crucial moment in game 6 in the 2016 Finals. 5 minutes, 5 points, a block and a rebound - steadied the whole team. Dude had literally only played in garbage time otherwise. Like a magic trick sticking him in at the exact right moment

similarly for having JR Smith gun it to start the second half in Game 7

people underestimate how important it is to have a deep feel for your players and know who should do what when

Because I'm watching this game thinking "Wouldn't Philly be WAY better if that were TJ McConnell starting for them and Simmons traded for CJ McCollum?"


Also there isn't one doubt in my mind if Dallas could undo that trade and take back Seth Curry they'd be playing tonight and not LAC. He's so, so, so much better than Josh Richardson it would have made the difference.

This is pretty embarrassing right now for Simmons.

He's just a guy. He comes down and gives the ball to Curry or Harris and then they're the ones to take the wheels and initiate all of the offense. Literally the last 7 plays in a row, he hasn't made one decision with the basketball. He has ZERO control over the game right now. Philly trusts Harris and Curry more.

Really embarrassing stuff right now from Simmons.

EDIT: As I say this he's not even getting to bring the ball down the court anymore. Catches the inbound and immediately gives it to Curry to bring the ball up.
