I’m armed with the results but this gave me a chuckle. Utah was 4th in offensive rating (I know regular season) and they will have to prove it but so far so good. Donovan Mitchell being 3rd all time in playoff ppg was surprising (behind KD and LeBron). They did the lazy switches again having Kennard defend Mitchell all night. Let’s see if they make some changes.

If I’m a Clippers fan, I’m heated at Lue/Kawhi/PG if that’s the shot I’m getting down 3 after not calling a timeout.

But seriously though, I hope Mitchell proves me wrong for the series. I just don't trust him over 7 to score when they need it.


But the big difference for the Clippers this series is gonna be how much harder it will be for them to score. Morris ain't gonna present them the same problems he presented the Mavs. Gobert isn't afraid to go out there and guard him at the 3 point line. He's not quick enough to blow by him and separate enough to keep Gobert from still contesting his shot.


Paul George looks like he stayed awful the whole game and that was w/o Conley playing.

I saw that final play and I'm really surprised Utah didn't foul. LAC gave them ample chances to just foul them w/o there being any danger of a foul on a shot.

About Kennard on Mitchell, I'm not sure if the Clippers have a much better option.

They have legit big wings who can score. So if they put, say, Kawhi on Mitchell, that's gonna make life for Ingles way easier.

Not like the Mavs where you're not really afraid of the other guys killing you outside of Hardaway.

I think the Clippers are gonna need to play bigger lineups. More Zubac. Morris out on the wing to guard Bogdo and then George on Mitchell. Something like that. I just don't think Morris yanking Gobert out of the paint is gonna work out well for the Clippers all series.

Embiid is being an idiot and not playing hard enough on the defensive end right now. He's letting the Hawks back in it. He's not getting rebounds he should. He's out of position on drives.

He looks like he's in poor condition tbh.

A whole lot went right for Utah at home and they still barely won...wouldn’t be predicting the series from this game

They missed something like 26 shots at the beginning of the game though. They started stupid slow. I can't believe they won. Seems like this was one the Clips lost

Ty Lue is coaching his ass off

Lue's biggest strength is breaking down system teams. Once you figure out the rules to a system team, you can basically use your defense to push the ball into the hands of certain guys or to take certain shots without them even realizing it.

DeAndre Hunter out for the remainder of the playoffs. Just an injury riddled 2nd season for him all around and a bit of a blow for the Hawks as he’s already a competent versatile 3&D wing.
