2021 Season | Series #43 | Twins @ Indians | Sep. 6-9

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Quantrill seems to have some issues with hitters chirping at him. What's the deal?

This team can't generate runs without the long ball. Straw was an attempt to address that but i guess more needs to be done.

Congrats to Quantrill.. one of his best outings of the year.. coming after one of his worst when he faced the Red Sox..

We've had 14 rookies this year.

Lord help us, if we see a bunch more next year.
There's rookies like JC Meija and Eli Morgan, and then there's top 5 organizational rookies like George Valera and Gabriel Arias.

Ballgame.. nice win.. scored some runs..

It's too bad Owen Miller hasn't produced.. Or at least yet. Maybe he can still get it going and if not, get out of way

Arias isn't a top five prospect. Remember that Miller was the hot prospect earlier this year.

Valera has played 14 games in AA. We are in trouble if he gets meaningful PT next year.

Counting on multiple prospects to significantly impact a contending team is unreasonable.

Many of our fringe players that are competing for roster spots and/or PT next year are maddening.

As soon as you start counting them out, they have a good game or a good two weeks that make us want to forget how miserable their seasons have been.

Harold had two hits tonight.

So did Chang, plus he's had an awesome past month.

Mercado had a homer and a walk.

Miller banged a double and has had a super two weeks.

Gimenez didn't play tonight, but he's been solid for a couple weeks.

yep - the guys who need to - and are more likely to make contributions next season are the guys who have spent time in Cleveland this season - miler, giminez and the gaggle of pitchers who have been here - mejia, Hentges, sandlin, Morgan, etc - maybe Bradley belongs in that group - tho he's got a lot of Jake Bauer in him - great month when he first came up, not much since

if e get something beyond what we've already gotten from the Zimmer, mercado, chang, Johnson et al group I'd be surprised

He is picking it up.. over the last half dozen to dozen games.. he needs to be in the lineup.. as much as possible..

After the fact... looked at Owen Miller's MLB.com/Indians site.. in the last 15 games.. he's hitting a robust 280/305/455 while in the last 7 he's hitting .320/.320/.560... See.. he's screwing up.. no walks !! He's getting about 3 1/2 AB's per game right now.. which equates to starting three of every four games.... DeMarlo is using him pretty well during this stretch..

Thoughts?
