2021 Season | Series #44 | Brewers @ Indians | Sep. 10-12

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A quality start for Morgan is looking problematic.

Zimmer draws his second walk to start the fourth.

Milwaukee is another team, over 500, who's roster is noticably better than ours.

Yeah I forgot about Berto's option that will not be picked up, and rightfully so.

Hedges is not a starting catcher. Good backup.

Morgen, Hentges, Stephan, and Young. We sent a bunch of minor league pitchers to face a team that is 31 games over .500. No wonder they scored 10 runs.

The Brewers had a great game for home runs with four. The Indians stole six bases in six attempts. Problem is you can't steal home.

Morgan=Plutko

Just like the FO never entered an offseason with Plutko expected to be anymore than a spot starter that was stored in Columbus as insurance, Morgan isn't in any plans as a regular rotation piece for 2022.

By midseason he is likely to be passed up in the pecking order by multiple Columbus SPs...barring another rotation disaster.

Thing is CATS, the situation for Plutko was much more favorable as the SP depth wasn't nearly as deep when he was here. You know as well as I do that there is a freight train of SP on the way.

Actually, get Morgan another plus off speed pitch that moves differently than his Fastball-changeup combo, I think he could be way more effective than this season... He's way better than Plutko was, but to say he will have better numbers than Tomlin... Eh, at the current moment I would say no... Tomlin has ten seasons with a 4.78 ERA and a 4.65 FIP (get rid of 18 his numbers are a bit lower overall). If that's his floor, then I'll take him!
