2021 Season | Series #49 | Indians @ Royals | Sep. 28-30

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Nice play by Chang to cut down the runner at the plate..

Wittgren needs to throw more QUALITY strikes.. and SPEED IT UP.. this is excruciatingly slow...

and there's the ball down the middle saying "HIT ME HARD" then the wild pitch.. just poor baseball..

Royals go up by two..ooops.. 3

One of the best things about the end of this season is knowing that I won't have to ever watch Harold play in the outfield again for us.
Are you sure?

Or Wittgren come out of the pen for us anymore

Over 840 PAs, Straw has been worth 4.2 fWAR.

Not sure that counts as SSS.
The question of course regards his 200 odd pas with Cleveland where he’s hit appreciably better than he did in 600 pas w Houston.

Wittgren is as big an idiot as Plesac. Two out, go-ahead run at third, Carlos Santana up. Santana has 5 hits in his last 57 at-bats - just the guy you want up in this situation. So Wittgren nibbles and nibbles and ends up walking him, bringing up Hunter Dozier, who probably ends the game with a two-run triple.

In that situation you have to get Santana.

No Wittgren, Shaw, Zimmer, Mercado, or Harold Ramirez next year, please.

Garza now doing his best Nick Wittgren impersonation

Wittgren is an absolute lock to be non-tendered. His stuff is just so underwhelming to the point that he gets completely drilled if he isn't hitting exact spots on the corners.

Cut him now and give his roster spot to OGonz.

Ramirez is the only player in the big leagues this year to have 35 or more homers, 100 or more RBI, 100 or more runs and 25 or more stolen bases. He is just the eighth player in history to check all those boxes in two or more seasons...

Congrats, Josie! How about two more?

Hopefully Salvador Perez is out tonight with the ankle he sprained going down the dugout steps. How many times has he gone down the dugout steps after an inning or an at-bat in his career? Thousands. Maybe 10,000. And I'm sure this is the first time he hurt himself doing it.

With Bieber going tonight, Perez probably out, and a bullpen game by the Royals I think we have a chance. Perez will probably DH if he can walk to the plate. I'm sure he wants to get two more home runs to get to 50.

Considering his numbers at the dish, which are historic for a catcher, plus his ability to control the running game with that arm, Perez should be in the conversation for MVP. I think Ohtani has it locked up, though. His season has been pretty historic as well; 9.6 WAR between hitting and pitching.

Let's get five solid innings out of Bieber tonight so he goes into the off-season healthy and ready to go for the CY next year.

Angel Zerpa.. who's dis fvkin guy?..he's not on the list..

Does anybody in baseball take more fastballs right down the middle of the plate than Zimmer?
