2021 Series #11 | Cubs @ Indians | May 11-12, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I feel exactly the same. Nice grave dig. It’s an 162 game season. Two series don’t worry me.
That's all I asked. I didn't know things you said last week have no relevance this week.

I get pushback from some posters for bringing up things people post in the far distant past (like, say, a week or two ago). Well, guess what, not each one of us can check in and read every post on time. Some of us are occasionally caregivers and there's no time for enjoying all the marvelous (but apparently time-limited) things people have to say about the club. Sometimes I'm glad I have the time to catch the actual games live, but if not I like to re-live them through the eyes of the folks here.

I certainly want to be called on things I said in the past that proved nonsensical. It makes me more careful about what I say today. If you're just musing, and aren't to be taken seriously by what you say, then why say it? I'm not here to play an elaborate game of "gotcha." I just occasionally see things that raise my eyebrows a bit, and wonder how the poster feels now. I'm not doing deep background checks.

Anyway, I'll continue to read terribly old (read: a week to ten days) posts just to catch up sometimes. And I'm not going to feel the least bit awkward responding to these "grave digs." Sorry about that. The ironic thing is, the bulk of my post was calling myself out. I had been quite vocal that our main competition would be the Twins and that I was confident some of the inherent problems the Sox have been lugging around for years would crop up and derail them. My post was largely a mea culpa about my sanguine views about the White Sox and the discomfort I now feel for ascribing them as paper tigers.

If I any real grave digging was going on, it was rueful spade work uncovering my dismissive views on Chicago.

The game threads are not a treasure trove of accurate thoughts and opinions.. Lots of emotional reacts and hot takes in here...

Gravedigging the other threads (around the league, the 2021 Indians) is a lot more credible in my opinion
