Bieber should have signed that extension this past spring, if one had been offered. Cost himself $$$$$.
and he's having the worst season of his career and it's not even close. Spin it any way you like. The best way to produce is to consistently hit the ball hard, which he is doing at the best rate of his career.
Bieber must have been using the good, gooey stuff from his pal Bauer.

Launch angle baby!!!! His fly ball rate has doubled from last year. I sure miss the days when guys actually learned how to hit rather than prepare themselves for slow pitch softball after their retirement.I'm wondering if Cesar Hernandez is trying to make himself into a power hitter. Last year he had 3 home runs in 233 at-bats. This year he has 10 home runs in 239 at-bats. But his batting average is down 70 points from .283 to .213. Is that because he's swinging for the fences?
His on-base percentage is down 60 points to .295, which is awful for a leadoff hitter. His slugging percentage is lower because his doubles have decreased from 20 to 9. The only thing up is the home runs.
I don't think any launch angle change has been made or even considered for Cesar. Hitting is down league wide and things haven't normalized yet from the short 2020 season. Throw in the "sticky stuff" in a time when pitchers are peaking and you get what you have. I don't know for sure, but I'd bet my next paycheck that there hasn't been any focus put on Cesar's launch angle.Launch angle baby!!!! His fly ball rate has doubled from last year. Maybe not but his line drive rate is significantly down and his fly ball rate has spiked so maybe there wasn't a concerted effort to change his swing but maybe subconsciously Cesar decided to join the party.I don't think any launch angle change has been made or even considered for Cesar. Well it's a different year and we're not even to the halfway mark yet. If you have some hard evidence then put it out there so the rest of us can see it. Otherwise, it's hearsay and best guesses.maybe not but his line drive rate is significantly down and his fly ball rate has spiked
I'm looking at the fking #'s. What other hard evidence would you like? And yes, there is a long way to go but to date we got what we got.Well it's a different year and we're not even to the halfway mark yet.
