2021 Series #26 | Indians @ Rays | July 5-7, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What Tito is doing wrong..

He consistently fails to put the "correct" bat in the leadoff spot IMO. other than that he does OK. Too bad we/he can't get a little more out of our younger pitchers. Is that on him? No probably not.

It doesn’t really matter. It won’t be an official no hitter regardless.
You know and I know the baseball talking heads is going to talk this up as the Indians been no hit in 3 official games this year…….

Multiple Rays players didn’t even realize it was a “no-hitter”

Easy question (and I'm not dismissing your argument) for you. If you were TIto how would you have played it differently?
Again, my point is not to pin this entire collapse at the feet of Francona. I'm just bothered that there is a Teflon Tito situation among much of the fanbase. To answer your question though, I would have:

1. Pulled Quantrill after the fifth inning on Sunday since he was well above his season-high for most pitches thrown in a game with Carlos Correa slotted to be the first batter he faced.
2. Not call for Roberto Perez to bunt in the tenth inning of that game and then give a bizarre explanation in the postgame press conference.
3. Not throwing Clase out for the ninth on Monday when he threw two innings on Sunday. No reason Sandlin couldn't have pitched in the eighth and Karinchak then close it out in the ninth.

I don't care that it doesn't really count, being no hit three times in the same season is inexcusable.

Then criticize away. What is he doing wrong in your eyes?

It sounds like you're upset people arent saying he's shit because the team's shit.
Why are you whining about a lack of criticism when you yourself won't even provide criticism?

You're basically arguing with yourself at this point.

The funny thing is I see a lot of people bitching about Tito when things are going well. I think you are looking for an argument that isn't there. Tito gets his share of criticsm. I just think right now he's firing a gun with no bullets in it and they are probably damn lucky to even be .500 right now.

Our roster right now is a AAAA roster. But we play a MLB schedule. It doesn't matter who's managing right now because there are no buttons to push.

This lineup is not an AAAA lineup. I think it's fair to expect them to produce more than one run over a doubleheader.

I agree with all those points.

Putting 2 of these 9 losses on Tito is more than fair.

The other 7 losses? The active roster just straight up sucks.

So... :conf (11):

All this talk about our SP being depleted and the young guys struggling, but we had exactly 4 fucking hits in 14 innings of baseball today that netted 1measly run. You can have a rotation full of Shane Biebers and you'd still be fucked.

I don't know who's at fault. I'd guess that the responsibility should be shared, but it sucks regardless.

Dude, we still don’t have a single member of our starting rotation out there..
part or the problem is that we only have 3 starting pitchers who are mlb quality

At least we didn't get no-hit!

We got "Notable Achievement'd"
