2021 Series #27 | Royals @ Indians | July 8-11, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Because Mercado hasn't played RF... Don't forget he's a converted SS, so he has way less innings in RF than HRam...
Mercado hasn't played RF in Cleveland this year, but he's played RF in Cleveland and he has a much better arm than HRam. I don't really care TBH, I was just curious if there was some logic behind it. Maybe it's as simple as HRam is more comfortable in RF.

Any word on Bradley? Hard to believe he just went back to business there.

I could get used to three-run homers. Keep 'em coming, boys! Two a game is all I ask. :chuckle:

Everybody hits, 1 through 9. Gotta love it. 17 hits in 8 innings. Beautiful!

First time in nearly two months we had consecutive games where a starter went six innings.

There's nothing wrong with this team that playing home games against the Tigers and Royals won't cure, especially when they start guys like Mike Minor.

Whit Merrifield can't get around on a fastball any more. He's popping them all up to right field. And speaking of aging second basemen, Cesar can't get anything on the ground to his backhand side anymore. He also needs a refresher in how to put your foot on second base when turning a double play.

Sarbaugh needs to learn not to send Franmil when there are no outs. Fortunately the Indians' bats made up for it, just like Johnson's baserunning blunder last night.

Loved all the oppo hitting; Harold, Bradley, Berto...very nice. It was great to see Amed finally square one up. Maybe that will get him going again.

I think having Franmil back in the 4 hole is having a ripple effect up and down the batting order.

I've been talking about Mercado the last few days and how he looks better at the plate. He definitely showed it tonight; three hits including a long home run and he almost got a fourth hit. He's 6-for-14 in his last four games with a couple of walks. That's an OBP of .500. He also provides a lot of range in left field and he even stole third base.

The only thing the Indians lost tonight was the battle of the Zimmers.

Let's finish off the first half with a sweep. Come on, Eli, keep it going.

safe - ump with great position - a great look - and got it wrong
I can't believe how many blown calls on the basepaths we're seeing. They're so obvious I'm getting them right in real time. A lot of calls are getting overturned and very quickly. This has to be embarassing for the umpires.

The out call on Zimmer was bad. Knew he was safe in real-time, and so did Zimmer.

Too bad the southsiders didn't go on a small losing streak just before the break. While my expectations are certainly tempered, I haven't completely given up on this team either. It's kinda like getting shitfaced without the worry of a 3 day hangover.

Tito should just leave Zimmer in KC to play with his brother. That would be the thoughtful thing to do.
