2021 Series #9 | Indians @ White Sox | April 30 - May 2, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Foster seemed to be throwing at Ramirez. How many of our guys have they hit now?

Johnson now has 10 Ks in 21 big league ABs. Maybe he does need more seasoning?

Clase getting a little bit of work.. and..

I would not be surprised to see a CWSox hitter plunked here...

Cool your jets on the jet.

Better not hear about what this offense can do with Daniel and Bobby for the foreseeable future, including from myself.

This Ramirez guy is...not bad.

Great to see Amed with three hits - all to right field. And Cesar with a home run to center and a single to left. Maybe going oppo is the way to get out of a slump? Or maybe they've been watching Tim Anderson who has been going to right field every time, at least on both hits Friday and the granny yesterday.

Plesac battled through 5.2 scoreless innings and when you've got Shaw, K-man, and Clase that's all you need.

Great series, now let's get the Royals.

Saviors are rare. The last one I remember was Asdrubal Cabrera in 2007. Installed him in the second-hole at mid-season and the team just took off.

That was 14 years ago. That makes me feel old.

Stabilizing and normalizing is what we're seeing.. with the guys who have a track record.. The kids / rookies.. are going to have to find a way to contribute.. They're all relatively young..so they'll learn together..

The starting pitching staff.. is three deep plus some more guys that we don't know enough about to rely on.. The position players are more focused..but still not fully settled.. There may be several shuffles of the deck before Tito/DeMo/Ty/Carl/Sarby etc.. finally put the "go to" team into the play.. We'll see how things evolve in KC.. History has shown.. the royals & indians love to play tough tight games..

Thoughts?..

Shaw has replaced Wittgren in high leverage situations. Think about that for a moment. Who thought, myself included, that Shaw had anything left in his tank let alone be dominant?

We have ground to make up, but with the team (as you say) still "unsettled," would you take a split in KC this week? I would, absolutely. I think it would be encouraging.
