I actually think he gets up and down better than Allen.
The Nets could easily catch us, they have a much better chance than the Knicks. We are only 2 up on them in the loss column and they have us twice at home next week, if they sweep those we are tied and they've won the season series. After next week they have an easy schedule so we really need at least a split there. We are up 3 games for the #4 seed with only 12 left. 7 of those 12 are against sub-.500 teams. Only 1 against a genuine contender. It would take quite a collapse to lose home court now. Brunson’s injury and the Durant trade helped us considerably. The bigger worry now is how we are playing. We haven’t been good since the break and I wonder if the 8 JBB has decided to roll with can win in a series. We have so few shooters and so little length outside of Mobley and Allen. We should beat either the Knicks or Nets, especially with home court, but we will beat neither with the way we’ve played lately.
Is Dwight Howard balling?
I’m just not understanding why we keep Lopez on this roster when you have players like Whiteside and Howard that could be more productive for us off the bench!
How’s he moving though? Can’t be any slower than lopezHe is playing against a middle school league in Taiwan, scoring 80 points a game.
Instead of drooling over picking up Moses Brown, perhaps instead consider asking yourself why someone as big, long, and athletic as Moses Brown has now been let go of the following organizations in just 4 NBA seasons after being undrafted out of UCLA in the 2019 draft:
POR
OKC
DAL
CLE
LAC
NYK
I've been one of those pushing Brown and again I'm not saying he's great, but he is playable. In his last NBA game in 26 minutes he went 5-7 from the field and 3-3 from the line for 13 points along with 16 rebounds. That was against us in January. Robin Lopez played 10 minutes that night, getting 2 points and 2 boards. That was the only game Brown played in his last month in LA as the Clippers have bigs galore. Meanwhile, we have.......I am with everyone that we really need a 3rd true big on our team exactly for situations like this. Lopez as the 4th big is totally fine to see spot mins as 6 fouls and be a great locker room guy, but he is overtaxed as the 3rd big. We are basically going to be looking at lineups with Lamar and Dean at 5 right now (assuming Dean stops getting Cedi'd). We still have 2 way days left right? Perfect time to bring up Diatke or Brobley.
The market for replacement bigs is not good though. Moses Brown is probably the best guy? Whiteside is a notorious black hole, limited on offense, cant move well anymore, and has been a locker room issue before. Ditto for Dwight although he seems to be in the Marbury post nba MVP phase of his career and would probably be better off for himself out there. Who else is even there? Sim Bhullar? Is Hasheem Thabeet around? There really are not many appealing options. I don't hate the idea of Moses Brown but are we sure he is even better than Diatke or Brobley? I wish we had made a harder push for Dedmon even tho he is also super cooked. Point is, its a bad situation and I am not sure there is an obvious answer
Makes one wonder what goes on behind the scenes with him. I mean hell, the Knicks cut him after 5 days. Is he unprofessional? He bailed on college after a solid but unspectacular freshman year, maybe he's just a knucklehead.I've been one of those pushing Brown and I again I'm not saying he's great, but he is playable. It's just made zero sense for the Knicks to sign him in the first place, they have by far the deepest center rotation in the leagueMakes one wonder what goes on behind the scenes with him.
