2022 CFP Peach Bowl | #4 Ohio State vs. #1 Georgia | December 31st, 2022 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Everyone will chalk it up to the play calling at the end because they need an easy spot to point their anger, but I thought Day called a great game. Team played their hearts out. A stumble on a deep ball, a timeout on a brilliant fake punt, and certainly Harrison getting knocked out kept us from building the lead we needed against a great team… proud of the team. Wish we could see this brand for one more game.

It’s both true.

Day called a great game.

He also decided to stop being aggressive when it mattered most and it was a gamble he paid for. A great moral victory only means so much for a program like this.

What a fucking kick to the gut.

I wanted to see them get a chance against TCU. Granted, I in no way think that was some gimme game. You guys see this defense. You saw what TCU didn't to Michigan's defense. That was gonna be a dog fight too.

But that brings us to the real crux here: The defense has been slipping and slipping now for three seasons and things aren't turning around.

I thought this season they were making strides and then you get to the two most important games and it's just giant chunk play after giant chunk play. Whole defensive secondary looks like it doesn't belong. Hickman, Burke, Samson. It's a three ring circus back there.

You can call a great overall game and still make some critical individual play mistakes during key moments. That’s what happened.

Obviously Day is great with QBs, can call a great game design overall and can score points in big games(especially indoors and in good weather) but there were still some critical bad calls in the final two drives that cost us better chances at 7 in second to last drive and a better chance at a closer FG in the last drive.

They need to develop and recruit better players in the secondary. This group isn't up to par.

I don't feel as worried about Day and the offense going forward. I'm still hoping for a OC from outside the program to come in because I think that will help Day keep evolving this offense. I don't know if they promote someone from within that the offense is going to change much.

Outside of the run and 1st down he did try and throw it, so not totally conservative at the end, it was the run that threw me, but we did not lose on that one call. The offense played great, the defense…woof

Meh, TCU would have never stopped our offense in a million years. OSU would have been a TD favorite, at the least.

That kick was for the Natty, lets not downplay it.

Just fucking sucks. After that Stroud run you have to be able to pickup some cheap yards there. Like 5 yards, at least. Instead we get -1 and...college kickers.

Fucking dagger to the heart. I really feel bad for Stroud, that dude played his ass off tonight. He deserved a win.

The secondary is ass. Defense in general.

Day went for the throat on offense and Stroud balled.
In the end we watched a intermediate throw grifter come back to win by 1 with ref assistance (the bullshit measurement for both Stroud and the UGA player on 4th down near the goal, and the targeting call that went back).
NCAA can't help itself to keep one SEC team in the game.

Poopy ending but that game was really fun to watch

I'm just not gonna be that guy when they just put up 51 on a team that crushed us in our building.

I absolutely think the title game is gonna be close as all hell.

Apparently, this Georgia secondary is in fact not very good. Thought the LSU Game was just a bad game for a good unit. It was not.
