1% chance to win WS….:chuckle:

Kinda sad to see such storied, well monied franchises like the Yankees and Red Sox scuffling.

It would be such a shame for them to get bounced out of the post season.

Bounced on their ass. Because they can't suck enough.
Unfortunately if the Yankees are bounced early, that leaves a clear path to the AL championship for the Astros. I’d rather the Yankees get it

Doesn't matter. For a super young team. (I mean extraordinarily young team) like the G's to actualy WIN the World Series would be something akin to the "Miracle On Ice".
For them to be contenders right now is great. For them to actually make the playoffs would be an outstanding achievement.
It surprised plenty of people, including me. I think my pre-season prediction was 3rd place in the Central.

That's because I looked at the roster on paper at the time.
Luckily the G's don't play on paper. They play on a field. And they play hard.

Gimenez and Kwan have combined for 6.6 WAR so far. Nobody really expected that going into the season. The other position players have generally lived up to expectations at least on average - Straw a bit under, Amed a bit over, Naylor returning strong and along with OGOATz making up for BradGOAT and Reyes.

Bandwagon up and running?
cant lie, disappointing how many games are against teams below .500. Was hoping that was going to be a lot higher.

any idea what white sox/tigers look like?

From The Athletic:

The Mets are 9-1 over their last 10 games and their starting rotation is simply unfair. Max Scherzer (1.36), Jacob deGrom (1.62), Carlos Carrasco (1.69) and Chris Bassitt (1.79) all boast ERAs under two since July 1. Meanwhile, the Yankees are 2-8 over their last 10 and scored just five runs across their three-game set in Boston.

Cleveland has 19 games vs sub .500 opponents as things stand right now.
Chicago has 19 games vs sub .500 opponents.
Minnesota has 22 games vs sub .500 opponents.

Cleveland's best opponent remaining is San Diego for 2 games.
Chicago still has to play Houston and San Diego 7 times.
Minnesota still has to play Houston and the Yankees 7 times.

Cleveland faces Chicago and Minnesota 14 more times.
Chicago faces Cleveland and Minnesota 15 more times.
Minnesota faces Cleveland and Chicago 17 more times.

Schedule is certainly leaning Cleveland's favor. Almost 20% of Chicago and Minnesota's remaining schedule is playing against each other, 9 games still to be played between the 2. Cleveland will gladly sit back and root for a 5-4 split in those 9 games.

But the 8 games remaining between Cleveland and Minnesota mean more than the rest of the schedule for each team.
