..because he'd have to admit trading Espino, Williams, Arias and and and and whoever else would have returned Oscar Mercado or Myles Straw results.. And the argument that it's early, injured, etc etc.. matters only to an apologist..

His stance was a BAD IDEA then.. it's STILL A BAD IDEA..

If anything.. admitting "that" would be a small first step in getting this right..

If a call up of Oscar Gonzalez is actually happening, it would be wise to put Franmil on the IL so Franmil can a) get fully healthy, b) have the opportunity for a minor league rehab stint to get the swing going & most importantly c) allow both Oscar & Franmil have the chance to be playing consistently.

I think Franmil has 2 options still.. Could be totally wrong. But I think we both agree Franmil probably needs a real break from MLB action. Maybe some calf tightness or a straight up demotion, I don't really care about the vehicle that facilitates this.

Miller can play 3rd, but you dont want him too.

Also agree Gimenez should be an everyday guy
