2022 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If you want to scout some exciting college football prospects, Cincinnati vs. Notre Dame is going to feature a half dozen players who could go on day one.

The Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton, Bearcat defensive end Myjai Sanders and corner Sauce Gardner could all be impact rookies next year.

Just as an update on a potential target in this game.

Isaiah Foskey through week 4:

3.5 sacks
18 tackles
1.5 TFL
1 FF
1 FR

6’5” 260 lb DE. Plays the Vyper position in ND’s defense which means he both plays on the line and in coverage. Freakish athlete that runs a sub 4.65 40 and was a 5-star TE recruit out of high school.

The thing that intrigues me the most with a guy like Foskey is his versatility. Being able to both use him as a pass rusher as well as someone that could help deal with bigger TEs in coverage would be an amazing piece to have. If you had Garrett, Taak, resign Clowney on a reasonable 2-3 year deal, and draft a guy like Foskey, that would be an amazing EDGE rotation. On obvious passing downs you’d even have the ability to put all four guys on the field at the same time.

Sauce early on them ribs!

This Notre Dame defense is full of good, NFL caliber players and it’s made Desmond Ridder look rather pedestrian thus far.

Bijan Robinson and Zach Evans both could be NFL players, but Bijan might be a serious contender to become a back with first round potential.

Elite player.

So, assuming Thibodeaux is long gone before we get to pick what would be some EDGE prospects worth keeping an eye on? Hutchinson looks awesome for Michigan, probably too awesome for us to have a shot at picking him up, but weird shit happens every draft so who knows. Adam Anderson from Georgia also seems like a great pass rushing specialist, but I wonder if he's too slight to play the EDGE in a 4-3 or if he's more suited as an OLB in a 3-4. Kingsley Enagbare from South Carolina, Karlaftis out of Purdue and USC's Drake Jackson seem to round out potential round 1 DE's in the class.

OSU needs to bring Marcus Freeman home as DC. Coombs hasn’t been cutting it.

Foskey is a guy that caught my eye on they that D. He’s a redshirt sophomore and looks like an NFL edge rusher.

Dang, that’s shades of Bernie Kosar right there. Bernie’s feet could be & often were a mess yet he had an uncanny ability to put the ball right where it needed to be. That’s a talent not many guys have. Impressive.
